Can someone clarify whether dungeon boss loot disappears just from entering and exiting a dungeon, or only if you enter it and then level up? It was explained earlier but I didn't fully understand.

What I'm afraid of is entering a dungeon and finding it tedious (sometimes gets boring fighting 4 of the same enemy in a row), wanting to leave to take a break or check the store, coming back (without leveling up) and losing some boss treasure. Can that happen?

It might've been mentioned before, but I encountered a bug with Rogue's Improved Vanish ability:

I have maxed Improved Vanish (13 turns). When I reached lvl 7, I accidentally pressed the plus sign on Improved Vanish and lost a skill point. The minus sign didn't bring it back. The cool down time of 13 turns didn't improve.

I could use all my skill points on that skill. Exiting the game from the level up screen and then quitting it from taskbar brought those points back.

I believe that the only time that loot disappears is when you level up. Most of the loot of lower level enemies disappears at that time. Bosses may be more resistant to this, but eventually they lose their loot also if you keep leveling up.

This is the same bug that I mentioned above for the Warrior. It's actually adding the point to your attack ability. If you go to the previous screen and press the minus button there, you will get the point back.

My warrior is up to level 19 with

    Glacier Sword +2 (19 damage)
    Heavy Plate Helm (21 armor)
    Obsidium Greaves (31 armor)
    Mithril Plate Chest (27 armor)
    Dark Iron Sabatons (24 armor)
    Mithril Plate Gauntlets (23 armor)
Amulet of Luck +6 (+6 luck skill)
Cloak of Protection +7 (+7 defense skill)
Girdle of Strenght +9 (+9 damage skill)
Ring of Fortitude +5 (+5 health skill)
Ring of Tactics +6 (+6 skill points)
Intermediate Rune of Artifacts (+50% artifact drops)
Major Rune of Defense (+15% armor)

But I fear I'm near the end of the line. I'm facing Drow Overlords and Stone Golems that hit for 100+. I've managed to beat several of them, but each time it's a close call. There seems to be a significant jump in strength from level 18 enemies to level 19 enemies. I fear the level 20 enemies are going to be even worse. Not to mention Nicodemus. Is he really beatable? I guess we'll see.

I was curious about the distribution of symbols, so I wrote down every result for a couple of battles (this is for a Warrior character):

    Coin 151 (17%)
    Potion 97 (11%)
    Dagger 67 (8%)
    Wand 71 (8%)
    Heart 104 (12%)
    Single Axe 142 (16%)
    Double Axe 107 (12%)
    Shield 107 (12%)
    Axe/Shield 32 (4%)
    TOTAL 878 (100%)

I might guess that the relative probabilities are:

    Axe/Shield 1/25
    Dagger, Wand 2/25
Potion, Heart, Double Axe, Shield 3/25
    Coin, Single Axe 4/25

I am not sure whether there's an actual wheel with 25 entries on it, and whether the different wheels are the same or all different. I started trying to reconstruct one of the wheels by looking at the symbols above and below the chosen one, but I didn't get very far.

I noticed this happening too, so is it best to slaughter them all to grab loot? I currently tend to go after the ! quest targets first and tend to go on unless all the enemies in front are X enemies. Better idea to mop up all the low level cats first?

    Wow, this game is amazing.

I debated buying it last night (instead of waiting for today), as I needed an early night. In the end I decided it couldn't be that addictive, and it was surely safe to buy it then. Yeah...was still playing past 2.00 am. Totally worth it though.

My one tiny criticism is the movement control on the iPad, but I see from reading this thread, that the developer has said it is on his list.

I love this game. Thanks to the developer for both making it, and for his presence on the forums.

This definitely has my vote for Game of the Week.

Encountered the same thing with the Warrior's Riposte. Got them back by just hammering all the minus signs on all the pages like an angry marmoset, but the game should either return them from the maxed skill or, better, just not let you apply points to a maxed skill.

I just started off and my inheritance was pretty nice to start with, it was there saying I'd start with it as I always do but this time I started the game and I have no gold, artifacts or anything?

Why would this happen? It hasn't happened before to me and it basically means starting from scratch for a whole run hoping I can get a good inheritance again.

This is already fixed. Those points would have been added to your attack strength without you realizing it. They didn't just disappear into the ether.

Edit: and by fixed, I mean, it is a known bug that is corrected in the next update, not that the current version is fixed, sorry.

If you are patient, I think the best thing is to first kill all of the enemies with chests, then kill as many enemies as you can with gold piles until you level up to the next level, and only complete the quest after that. If you complete the quest first, then that makes the gold disappear faster and so you accumulate less total. Of course, you might want to do the quest sooner so that you can get the gold and buy better equipment so you survive.

  13. Thanks for the purchase Fuzzy!

iPad movement alternative is on the list but will not happen in 1.15 though.

Yes will be fixed in 1.15. Sorry for that.

    I'll try that. Tks.

Anybody else feel a bit distracted by that Atomic Robo ad running down there? As DaviddesJ's reply was the only one on this page, my eyes kept tracking the running man and the robot in the ad instead. Had to reread his post like five times. Maybe I'm just too sleepy...

Edit: Now that I posted this, the ad changed to a static picture of BattleLine instead... Oh well.

I have this challenge in the second area (desert) where you have to kill 5 of those blue/green blobby things that look sort of like a jellyfish... but I was only able to find 4 of them. Searched every dungeon in the area. Glitch?

I just bought the game because of the TA plays. I love those videos and the game looked fun. It is.

Although, is there a way to choose a different rune?

Yes, occasionally there aren't enough enemies to be found. You just have to move on. BTW, there's only one dungeon per level.

Well maybe I was using the wrong terminology, there are a whole bunch of dungeons around the area.

There is one dungeon per level (i.e., there's a level 12 dungeon, a level 13 dungeon, a level 14 dungeon, etc.). There's also one quest per level (i.e., there's a level 12 quest, a level 13 quest, a level 14 quest, etc.). The level 12 quest will only search for level 12 monsters, which can only be found in the level 12 dungeon, not any of the other dungeons. Once you find the one dungeon with monsters of that level (which will generally be the closest dungeon to that quest location), then that's the only place to look for that particular enemy type.

Hmm. The enemies for the quest I'm talking about were all just hanging out in the main surface ground map.
