Dude. THIS. GAME. FREAKING. ROCKS. So much fun. Really. Well worth the $2, I'm praying you get more attention. Damn shame this wasn't more highly publicized this week. It is one of my favorite releases to come out in quite a while.
Yes. The net effect is that your character will have more "base" hit points and some built in increased offense retroactively applied. However if you invested only in those 2 skills then it'll be an even tradeoff roughly.
Thanks! Maybe I should have went for a thursday release instead of wednesday but I'm probably overthinking it. There's still some time for a (hopefully positive) mention on some sites before the week is over.
Don't forget to change riposte as well. I think this will be a good adjustment long term. Right now, I ignore the small axes completely. Now the tactic will probably be to build up a nice defense, then go on the offensive with the double axes.
My thing is wondering why this didn't get a major placement, maybe it just got missed. I can see this being a game the entire TA team would love. Can someone with influence fishhook Eli's eyes over to this thread, this game?! If anything needs a review, this be it. If it happened with 1000000000000 it can happen here!! I love the slot system, by the by. I really do. It works so nicely and adds some depth and tactical decision making that is otherwise missing.
It definitely is worthy of some attention. It has been on the hot new games all week, so hopefully they notice sooner or later.
It turns out that in the upper right hand grey "main menu" toolbar of TA (at least in Safari) there is a "submit tip" option to alert Touch Arcade about promising apps they may have overlooked. This generates an e-mail to [email protected] I'm really surprised by the near silence surrounding official coverage of Dungeon Plunder from Touch Arcade; but, with respect to the editors, their coverage is often not comprehensive. Dungeon Plunder is a big enough of a hit on the forums at least. Hopefully it get more attention, fingers crossed.
On the 2nd day : Warriors rule the leaderboard! Arzakoniv at level 11 made the best run so far - if you read this speak up and maybe share some tips! LLamaentity made it to level 9. Rogues and Mages are at level 8 and 7 respectively with Llamaentity at 3rd rank for rogues as well, not bad at all. 1.12 had unfortunately a skill missing (Mana Vortex) for mages so it should help them now. The skill will pop up when you have 75% mana and grants an extra respin on all unselected symbols.
The update description had me nervous but the game still plays great. I'm enjoying using the Mage a lot more with the Mana Vortex, the Warrior did seem the most powerful, but now I dunno. I hope there'll be more updates like this, really digging this game
Playing my first rogue at the moment. I wasn't really feeling it at first, but I'm cruising now. Currently level 7.
I appreciate your attention to balance and small incremental updates. Not following this approach kind of ruined another game that I liked, Dungelot.
Hey, thanks for the mention XD As you can see, I have spent quite a lot of time already with your extremely addictive game. I really love the slot machine mechanics (you should see me when I go to Vegas ). So, really, thank you for making this game! Thanks for the quick update, playing a Mage again and loving the Mana Vortex skill! Here's hoping I can finally reach level 10 tonight I generally try to play it safe as often as possible, going for all of the chests as soon as possible, and doing the quest meanwhile. I spend gold on as many upgrades as I can afford, prioritizing weapons as long as they give me at least 1 extra point of damage. I save life scrolls until I am certain I will die without one. I use my defensive spells as soon as I can get the full benefit of them (and I'm sure to level them up to go off cooldown as quickly as possible--be sure to hit "next page" when leveling up your skills to make sure you take a look at the last few skills after you've leveled up a couple times. If anyone has any questions for specific tips, let me know. I am no expert at all, but I have played a good 10 hours already and have tried all 3 classes a fair amount.
This Game is ####ing awesome. Played as warrior and now im on level 6. Enjoying it so much. Nice work! The combat system is extremely addictive. Love it.
So, I just lost my first game, but I had reached a point where I was confused. I had killed a few monsters already before getting the quest, and then I was asked to kill a certain number of thugs, but could only really find 3 out of the required 4, since I had killed some before the quest. Is this really something that can happen? I would hope there are more thugs in the area for me to kill, or alternatively, if it's a set number, then that they would be accounted for in the total. Otherwise I'll always try to go straight for the quests before killing anyone. Was I just unlucky? Cheers, and thanks for the great game.
I think the quest location is always on the map and the number killed is updated even if you haven't visited the location yet. Some of the Thugs could be in a dungeon, if you can't find them on the overland map.
Minor bug: when Improved Riposte is at maximum, and I click on the "+" button for that skill, then my Attack Bonus increases instead. Question: when I increase Improved Shield Wall, it says "Reduce the cooldown of the Shield Wall ability and the defense granted on the round it's used by 2%". Does improving Shield Wall really reduce the defense I get from it? Or should it say, increase the defense granted by 2%?
Does anyone else think the locations of the damage dealt and damage received displays should be reversed? It always throws me off.
Fully agree. I have to keep looking down, but always end up looking up. Has anybody beat Nicodemus yet?
Game Impressions So what becomes of all of the minor runes I gain once there are no more minor runes to be scribed? If I gather enough, especially after all minor runes were written, can I convert a batch to a single intermediate rune?
