Enjoying the game, just here to ask that it be made available for iPhones as well. I think it at least would work well on the 6+s.
Going to start later today, so does it say anywhere exactly what the differences are between too easy and easy? I generally just play games on normal first.
You will find resources harder to come by on Easy and enemies will spawn in greater numbers. Too Easy is intended to be a learning experience, or if you're not used to the rogue-like experience.
This is NOT a video of the iPad version, given that no iPad exists with a 16:10 aspect ratio screen, and the UI in this video is completely different.
Good catch! The UI is fairly close but, yeah, that video didn't have a single/multiple character selector to the left of the characters.
"Too easy" mode isn't too easy, if anyone was wondering. Or at least it's not too easy for me... Does anyone know, if I unlock characters in "too easy" can I use them on easy difficulty?
What is it with these strange spam? mails? Saw them the last couple of weeks. Who is so retarded to post stuff like that?
I suggest you play on too easy to unlock characters and understand the mechanics. You can always play in easy mode later on.
So far so good I'm on about the 5th floor on my first run still, the graphics aren't great but not bad either. The gameplay seems good, I don't know which heroes are best yet but I tend to go and open every door on a floor just for resources and wondering if that's a good idea? So far also I rarely like to build resource structures because what they pay back seems like it'll rarely cover the cost and am scarce on the defence buildings as so far it's not often necessary in 90% of my rooms. What actually carries on between games? Just heroes or does research stay?
If I remember correctly you can unlock characters by either surviving for 3 floors with them or finishing the game with them. Also there are different modes you can unlock (the escape pod at character selection is the first mode available).
Just thought I'd post and say this game works with the ipa installer trick to play on iphone 6. Pretty much unplayable because of the small font, but It would probably be totally playable on the 6+. Fwiw's.
Enjoying playing this quite a bit on a iph6+ using JB +ipa trick. But....all text is super small, and characters are super blurry. I use the IOS zoom feature quite a lot. Still a bit of fun, but damn if only this were optimised and generally text enlarged and sharpened. Probably a big ask doing that, but it could've been on phone otherwise. Cranked it up on my iPad, and frankly it's not much better there either. The textures just generally aren't real sharp, and text even on a full blown ipad is small. That said. Digging this game so far. Can see it being really deep. There seems to be so much gear to buy or upgrade, and I'm only sticking to the obvious attack based stuff so far. There's a lot to take in.
There's something wrong with the unlock conditions for the unlock conditions for the different ships - I just finished a game on Too Easy, and they all unlocked except for the Refreezerator Pod, but I didn't meet the requirements for them, the only two I met the requirements for were the Library Pod and the Infirmary Pod. So if you want to unlock them all quickly win a game before they patch it, I guess...
What he said. Research and resources definitely DO NOT carry over to future runs. Possibly worth noting if not already clear, within a run, leftover Science and Food will carry over to the next floor but Dust is always reset each floor. Good find, it's one of those kind of bugs I feel conflicted about. While I hope the devs straighten this out ASAP, I still kind of want to get in there and unlock everything with this accidental security breach as it were.
I made it to a about floor 7 on my first run ever unlocked one hero and did find two others one I didn't manage to go 3 floors with and no space for the other in my party. On floor 7 there were just so many enemies for me, any tips on defence towers? I had mostly the prison pod I think it was? The others seemed lower dps and without great effects although usually had 1 or 2 other things in some rooms for damage over time or hero buff occasionally. Also didn't realize until near the end that I can research more than once at those pillars. But I found myself not always building a production building as the industry cost of it often wasn't worth what I would get back until I got the level 4 industry building. Any tips on heroes or defences that are good would be appreciated or are all heroes roughly the same?
Heroes are actually fairly specialised, you need to read their skills and compare their statistics, you can see the skill description by pressing for several seconds. Most of heroes are either operators or warriors.
As soon as I open and power up a room with a node in it I immediately create an Industry Module, this way you can start building your economy for that level. You want to build early on as all left over resources (other that dust) will follow you to the next level. That seems to be the key to success.
