Known issues:- FYI:- Return to Chaos 1.0 - cannot save team, unstable build. Dungeon master 7.1 - list of crashes / gamestoppers: progression blockers: level 3, 'time is of the essence' 2nd pit timed button fails to respond, progression block. level 6 timed teleporters to get through locked-in section broken, progression block, level 8, ENTIRE LEVEL CAUSES CRASH - activity within level causes crash within 5-10 seconds of entering level - 100%, CRASH and PROGRESSION BLOCK. enter from level 7 auto crash, from stairwell, you can do some movement but then crash level 11 'clockwise' portcullis fails to open when key used, progression block, Level 11, skul-key secret fails to unlock. Level 11 'take a ride' timed teleporter puzzle just does nothing. Level 14 - cannot fuse firestaff with power-gem. as this is fundamental to game, severe progression block level 1 - no Librasulus character to give firestaff too, you just get toasted. ...and whenever all team die, no THE END screen, just crash to OS - 100% Consuming objects that are used one and then self-destruct, eg increase intelligence potion, seem to stop pointer being able to interact with inventory and dungoen, therefore PROGRESSION BLOCKER. Complex interaction with inventory, prolonged periods of gameplay = random crash to OS run into your own thrown object = crash level 3, pressing secret passage button to get to compass fails to respond level 3 timed teleporter puzzle to retrieve compass in hidden passage does not work retireiving compass causes crash when item selected on dungeon floor, 100% putting an empty potion flask into an alcove results in that alcove spawning an infinity of empty potion flasks throughout game, severe graphical glitches and artefacts: scorpion is especially bad (pressure pads appear on-top of graphic etc), writing on walls offset into ceiling on all wall text when viewed from side-on, water-elementals are invisible (no graphic shown), lots of minor issues am sure people would love to get this and even help in QA'ing, but developer must alert potential customers that app is not fully-tested in app-store so user can make informed decision. have already recommended app be free during this 'beta' period.
Hopefully this should be warning enough for anyone tempted by this insult to the original masterpiece,thankyou Boyflea for spending the time to write this report.
thankyou - that was very kind. despite the seriously-flawed approach I would like to see this get to market under the correct conditions and so am providing this as constructive feedback as well as a warning to others: the idea is not an insult but the implementation is definitely offensive to the community contributors and a severe disappointment to cash-paying customers.
Yes thanks Boyflea..that was a really informative post. Will stay clear of both until everything is fixed. There's a couple of promising other Dungeon Master-type games coming out on IOS which i'm following too.
Hmm, is it more likely or less likely that Dungeon Masters' developer will continue to patch it when gamers stop buying it? Constructive criticism is good, but in the real world, perhaps a gentle email to the developer would have achieved a better result...
Hi boyfle, what does progression block mean? In my understanding, when progression is blocked in level 3, you can't reach any further levels.

Hey, thanks for the heads up on Dungeon Myths!! It's EXACTLY what I'm looking for, and I'm really looking forward to playing it. As for other upcoming first person RPGs, these two are the only ones I've been tracking: Coldfire Keep and Shadowkeeper And, unfortunately, they've both stopped updating in the forums. I'm hoping that they are still coming out, but I've seen plenty of great looking iOS games that never make it to fruition. That being said, do you know if any others like these? Sorry to high jack the thread; I just really love this genre of game.
Good point ... I agree. Coming here was done only after discussions with developer and DM community. Am all for this game being successful, but am also citing that fair-warning should be given to customers that this game is BETA.
And sadly they (developers) just released an update and none of the update deals with the main issues with the app. Obliviously they are not listening to the people who bought it in good faith early on and found it has so many issues!!
Coldfire Keep is still on the way. Some of the art is currently being re-worked which is delaying release. Won't be long though.
And for my two-cents worth, this Dungeon Master "remake" looks absolutely horrible. Do yourselves a favour and play the real thing in an emulator.

I was holding back I'd do anything though for the FTL guys to put up a Kickstarter for a REAL iOS port of Dungeon Master. It's never going to happen, but I can dream...
It is there but map data is identical so GUI updates and re-use of original-style artwork mean game still has blockers. CSB (or RTC if you prefer) can now SAVe however party cannot escape first chamber still.
What's the status of this now? Intriguing -- I remember playing this on the Amiga back in 1874. What's the status of this port now?-- are there still copyright issues or is everything now resolved and the game is going to stay in the App Store without risk of being pulled?
Latest patch does not load and install Hello, Just tried to install the latest patch. It will get to about 90% and then gives me an error. Cannot download or something like that. There is an option to retry or finish. Now I have a blacked out icon and touching it will retry the download again. Is anyone else having this issue? It's too bad, I'm enjoying the game. Brings me back to the old commodore Amiga days. I have an iPad Air. iOS 7.1
I just successfully re-installed Dungeon Masters without issue. If download seems stuck try rebooting your device, if still stuck confirm you have enough drive space and delete then retry. I had written off Dungeon Masters but the suprisingly high number of recent bug fix uodates leads me to try it again.
