10th try of challenge ´Protect your Lord´, no chance to win on easy mode. ...and I made day 500 in trial 8. I´m a casual player. With last update the game changed from casual to hardcore.
Anybody else noticed buffs disapearing after certain number? I played with Tania and had a lot of Armor, like hundred millions and then nothing and was killed imediately. Could it be that there is no cap for buffs and they just disapear after certain number?
the Easy mode starts at Hard 8 (and only 120 days iirc), and is VERY EASY, unless you have no idea what you are doing, you will easily win all easy challenge modes, for normal mode (trial 1 and 340days) its a bit more difficult, since im in a run rn i can´t check what hard mode was, but iirc it was 500 days on trial 5/6 or something? can check after im done with this run And seriously, Trial1 to Trial 5 is equal to normal difficulty imo for other games, everything below that is very easy, and the normal difficulty up to hard 4 is on the niveau of tutorial, and just saying but: In the past (before we got the awakening pack) there were no 6* rooms/weapons, no awakening, no 3x speed up, some very good S rank skills were missing (i think you get the point) There were no skills with a scaling, that means 80% of the skills were useless, afterwards a lot of skills got buffed hard (for example warcry, in the past it granted 2 fury to all allies in the room, now it has 0.6 scaling per level + 2fury, which is infinitely better than before, in the past only the heroes had somewhat of a scaling like Emma which is why Emma got her very own strategies) some of those skills are still pretty bad, like warcry, but now its atleast okay We had a lot less options for rooms, stuff like graveyard We had no Hero Awakening which also means less levels on hero There were no books (new feature, which makes getting gold a lot easier, with the 10 gold per day book (3x stackable)) We could succeed less things And i might have forgotton a few other very important things, the point is, in the past people managed to get hard 10 and completed all achievements, and nowadays everything is so much stronger, while hardmode basically is the same as before, and we are only getting more updates to get even stronger and have more options to get stronger, and the challenge mode truly doesn´t give that many shards, and i even agree with the game balance beeing a bit of, because hard is just way too easy, they should just rename the normal mode to easy, and hard to normal mode, and also challenge mode is supposed to be a challenge (although it only starts to become a challenge at normal mode and above) and i think i said it now for the thousand time, but if you want exp, play trial mode, even at lower trial stages, if you get to stage 500 you will get millions of exp (depends a bit on playstyle) This i agree with 100%, but if people that complain about hard 7 or hard 8 beeing too hard and not getting enough shards or about challenge mode easy being too hard, i won´t get it, because for me the challenge mode was a very quick and nice boost to get a few more upgrades from the shop, because i need a bit more than 400k? exp for a level up (iirc that is, still in a run so don´t know the exact number i might be completely wrong) which takes a decent amount of time to get, although i still get mutliple stones usually per run, but that takes a lot more time, i just did 4 easy challenges in the same amount of time and got 120 shards out of that. Anyway, i have a issue with challenge mode that no one mentioned yet, and that is that you can´t check what the equipment does (ingame that is) before you get it
I want to get How to Be Rich 1, 2, and 3 as early as possible. When I am playing Elizabeth, I want to get: The Murder Weapon - Monsters that defeated a hero gets 1 Hatred. Ends up giving 50+ hatred by the end of a fight, a nice boost to Elizabeth's DPS. If I am using a layout with a hasted room (aka. blender) at the entrance, those monsters get the rest of the hatred, which is nice too. Benefits are harder to quantify, but might have a good impact: Grudge & Revenge Chapter 2 - When a monster dies, Dark Lord +1 Hatred. (50+ Hatred when a fight goes bad) Guilt - Heroes that defeated a monster gets 25 Corruption. Could swing a bad fight, like when a bunch of angels are stomping your monsters? Clear benefits, but takes a lot of turns - best for long runs: Mana 101 - 10% faster mana regen is effectively a 20% dps boost for Elizabeth. Biochemical Weapons (1,2,3) - Hero Life -5%, Hero ATK -5%, Hero Life -10%. (Effectively a ~17% dps boost for whole dungeon)
I took some screens, from my current run on T10. Here is one where i gained armor normally. And this is just seconds after. As you see, I had over 1B armor and lost all. This is probably true for all buffs. I have sent an email to Gamecoaster, hopefully they'll fix this.
I think I found a really annoying bug, has anyone seen this? I was half way through trying to complete a few of the "Survive for 100 days without..." quests ("opening a monster egg", "using merchant", "enhancing Dark Lord" in this case), and had to restart the game (I don't mean restart my whole attempt, just restart the app itself). It looks like my progress on those things got reset back down to 0, then started counting again (so now I'm on level 65, and they all say "15 days" in the progress meter). That's painful...

I'm glad some old players are still here to have a post like this. The game is piss easy now with all the buff and new stuffs, I don't understand why do people think it's hard and there are little rewards. Do people even remember the original Lilith? The only trouble I have in challenge is surviving day 120. Those Haze is a pain.

Can someone clarify what's the meaning of Rebecca's lv 14 ability? I always thought Corpse explosion deal dmg around the area of dead hero?
'Range' description of this game is divided into 3 types.(Around, Area, Adjacency) 1. Around Around means the target in combat room. Therefore, a passerby does not apply. 2. Area Area also includes enemies that pass through a room. 3. Adjacency Adjacency include enemies passing through 9 squares.
Does this count for battle rooms too? For what it's worth, I did just confirm that battle rooms with 'adjacent' effects will give bonuses to the Dark Lord's room, and they can be anywhere on the 3 rooms next to it on the last row. I can't tell if that means 9 rooms work for this or it's because the DL room is big enough to be touching all 3. Never thought of it before, using rooms or traps to boost the DL...
How do you make Lilith work? I filled the whole board with charm monsters and charm battle rooms. Every enemy was stacked full of charm and by level 80 my whip couldn't come close to hurting them. Alternatively I used vampire lady and hit 120 without even really trying.
I stick Lizard girls at the front to deal with the day 120 haze problem. Their ability clears status effects on friendly monsters, so if they get to cast it, they remove haze from your monsters.
