Dimension Portal is just awful, so I won't recommend it.

And I quite like Ice Arrows for its easy to assemble and the slow. I do replace it with the Ice Pits later when I can though, but it's worth it for the early game.

What do the skills books from the awakening pack do? How do you equip them or get them? Are they just more artefacts that randomly popup?

The skills from awakening pack can be randomly on monsters and some weapons after you bought them

Are they worth unlocking or they are considered pollution and dilute the good loot pool?

From my experience, most of the skill books aren't very useful. The ones I have used the most are Forestallment and Overspeed but that is because I mainly play Tania. Slapping 2 of each of them on myself and mystic ones worked like a charm in 1 shotting a lot of the mobs. Putting them on Sparna and other minons makes them a lot stronger too if you are playing tania. I think most of the skills are worth unlocking though because the majority of the skills are better then the random A-C skill and having all of them doesn't seem to make other skills appear less (from my experience). You will always want to have absolute barriers and magic barriers but having random minions with these new skills isn't so bad if you are going for a minion centric run. I have all the skills books unlocked. If you are a Tania player, Forestallment is a goto. Not sure about the other dark lords. :)

Dimensional Portal is awful but when you get to the late game, there is a point where you get only like 3 events. One of them is dimensional portal and you can get it consistently. I find it helpful to 5 star my water golems and shadowmere? horsies just for a small buff because the event is so common by the time you get to floor 600,700 or 800+. I think these are some of the strongest noncombinable monsters in the game that are not 5 stars. Every bit of stat increase helps. This is from my perspective tho.

Anyone could share some wisdom on how to attain lvl 100 on trial 10?!?

It always starts well but by lvl 60-80.
    I get whacked HARD.

Been playing a lot, but now I seem to get stuck.

Like what to focus on at first.

    Thanks!

    - Do not extend the dungeon too much. :p
    - Do not choose too many trial cards. ;)

I like Emma, but in the current build it's easier to play with Tania. You do not have to worry, you only need to use her second skill. And Certain trials tends to raise the difficulty too much. Avoid them wisely. :)

What are the best monsters and skills to use on the monsters at the moment?

I have 4 succession unlocked and am using the following in the Lord room:

Dryanid, Suparna, White Fang and Black Knight with skills:
Mystic one, Executioner, Earthquake and Bladestorm.

Also, is it possible to have more than one of the same fusion monster?

I found trial 10 is super hard with Tania, because your buffs are consumed much faster, and trial cards are very punishing to your monsters since you rely heavily on them and do not have a good way to keep them alive from my experience. I am an Emma main so I am biased ;), but try out Emma more! She is not affected as much as Tania in trial 10 and is very self-sufficient. This is how I can overcome the rough early game in trial 10 with Emma and go to late game.

Priority for me is rooms > enhancing myself > monsters. I bring three platinum star traps with me (2 meteor shower and 1 plague is my preference) and prioritize on putting good traps (slow, curse, etc.) around the entrance and obtaining decent battle rooms + hatcheries over opening eggs early. I brought hatcheries before I had the traps made for succession. Getting a few icebolt special upgrades is helpful for early game, but if you go for a long run, then they will eventually have to be replaced by something better. If I see a hatchery offered to me, I always take it. Leveling up your monsters and yourself is super important and hatchery is the only thing that will allow you to do that. I take every elite and treasure chest early, because getting a few solid relics should also be a priority. No events until later, they are just not worth it early. Dungeons only to upgrade hatcheries and rooms. Sometimes early game just comes down to luck... whether you get key relics from elites and good rooms + facilities or not. Also, IMO, graveyard/necropolis is the best battle room. It negates a lot of the trials like poison, shock, and allows your monsters to absorb many hits from the heroes. I like to put one necropolis at the entrance with only 1 or 2 monsters on it, so they can die quickly and give immortality to my entire dungeon. This slows down the heroes a lot, so you have more time to stack up fury and then get off a 10 mana ability on bosses for example. So like hatchery, I will always take graveyard battle rooms.

Like nyan said, keeping the balance in the dungeon is a must. Taking the shovel often leaves your top or bottom side wide open so generally do not expand until your dungeon is full and you need more space :p. As for trials, if your goal is to survive to 100, then just dont take them at all unless you are forced to. I *usually* take the ones that buff heroes over ones that debuff my monsters early game, but as always it depends. Debuff on monsters will make them die too fast and you will get swarmed in your room... Emma's worst nightmare. Immortality and absorption trials on heroes are the worst trials you can take if you are playing Emma. I also avoid thorn, because it makes special monsters like Suparna, White Fang, and Sephiroth who attack multiple heroes useless. (Their special abilities proc the thorn on ALL the heroes they hit, killing themselves instantly.) I also dont take dodge trap for obvious reasons. Avoid these trials at all costs. You need to be able to kill heroes quickly, and monsters and traps are there to slow the heroes down to help Emma use her 1 and 10 mana ability. Balance between monsters, traps, and enhancing yourself is the best for long-term survival, because eventually bosses will have ways to counter strategies that focus too much on one strategy. This is just some general advice, but I hope it can help you break through to the later levels.

I would say that there is no best combination monsters to bring, because different ones are better suited for different situations. For example, Thetis can be really strong if you are using traps, but she becomes useless if you are running a dungeon full of only battle rooms. Arachne is also a very good monster to keep in your room if you can utilize slow and vulnerable to your advantage. The combination of monsters that you have in your room is strong. Normally I like to put Black Knight outside of my room where she can kill more things and I can get more use out of her ability. But I like to play around with a lot of different strategies with different monsters. I think that is a lot of the fun in this game. :)

Personally I do not like Bladestorm because it is just damage, and I would rather have an ability like Earthquake or Sandstorm that debuffs the entire room while at the same time doing damage. Having a few defensive abilities on monsters in your room can also be beneficial. Like smoke shell, absolute barrier or magic barrier. Overspeed is another strong ability, because it will allow your monster to use their skills and attack faster.
