Hi, everyone. Are you newbie to this game? :> Since there are so many comments on this thread, if you do not know what to look at first, check out the following. [Basic Guide] Wickedly Good Fun for the Wickedly Evil (by Sarah Saunders) https://toucharcade.com/2018/05/24/dungeon-maker-dark-lord-guide/ [Guide & Tip] Dungeon Maker : Dark Lord https://forums.toucharcade.com/threads/guide-tip-dungeon-maker-dark-lord.319561/
I think you might have misunderstood what I said ? U.S. = United States Personally I accept that other cultures are different and some don't care about having scantly clad bikini girls as the entire cast of their anime/video game. I also agree that freaking out about sex and giving a pass to violence is stupid. BUT!!! I also think that depending on bikini girls as the focus of your art design is lazy. To me it's like saying, "I can't really come up with cool characters, so I'll just make some big boob girls and show some skin." HOWEVER, that is actually not the part of the game that I hate the most. At most the art design is half a star off.
I will have time to think about your thoughts. I think that what you leave such a review is because of your own philosophy of the game. I understand that there are aspects you do not like about this game. Please find other good games. Maybe this game is not your taste. Somewhere else, there will be games you like.
Boo! Can you show me your IAP receipt for this game? Claim without evidence is meaningless. I've often seen holy hypocrites like you. Anyone can hit the keyboard hard.
I came here and kept reading the constant chatter on this game and decided eff it and bought. This will be on my phone for awhile, I love these types of roguelikes(lites?). Easy stupid fun with "cards"
Don't feed the troll. Refund this game as soon as possible for your mental health. Use that money to practice what you value. IMHO, I think it would be more valuable to use it on your mediocre insurance. Best of all, go out and drink fresh air. It's free.
Erm. Ok. I did this. Except when offered the “skip” screen, it let me skip. Erm. I’m now on day 61. And I have battles available. But there are no monsters. And so, no way to progress / end any given level. Interesting.
I’m 100% premium, dude. I think this is great! It’s exactly the same principle guiding every other aspect of gameplay. Random choice of 3 bonuses for completing a level, 3 unpredictable choices for events, choice of 3 unpredictable monsters from eggs. It works. And, moreover, it works beautifully. I’m already progressing vastly further than I was thanks to my random abyss shop options. And I far prefer this path to “blah blah 17 more blah tokens and you can buy this entirely predictable thing.” Epic winz0rz, basically. HTH HAND.
Recently, Rebecca has gained popularity among the dungeon maker users. :> The following is the YouTube video uploaded by Rebecca Top Ranker. Her strategy is so unique that it probably will not help normal users. lol At the end of her video is the World Conquest event. If you are interested, check it out. :>
Let me see if I understand. You think that I randomly found a game on touch arcade, paid and downloaded it, then researched how the game works, and THEN I gave it a 1 star rating and made negative post on it, because I'm a mean person? But you don't believe that I bought the game paid for it and the IAP. Got upset and made a review to warn others about the gatcha aspects of this game? Yeah...
I'm not sure what you are trying to say? I posted my opinion. It's ok if you disagree. Some people really like gatcha. I'm not one of them.
That's what people do when they write reviews? They judge it based on their own philosophy. Thanks however, I wasn't posting because I was looking for other games. I posted to help others who dislike gatcha mechanic know this game has some pretty important parts hidden behind that mechanic. And that the price to get those parts is around $50. I didn't lie about any aspect of the game. I'm not sure why you guys are so upset about one person's negative review.
What would you all bring with you if you can only carry over 1 facility, a level 2 (or 3 giant) room or a Warhorn room?
Personally I've opted for Warhorn > 2 Giant as I've simply formed a bias from my own RNG that Warhorn mat acquisition is an extremely rare occurrence for me. Typically by the time i get the mats for 2 Giant my dungeon is expanded and I can place the tile right in front of my Boss where I want it (as opposed to closer to the entrance). 3 Giant, however, would definitely trump Warhorn simply because of the amount of materials required to craft it. I'm currently on Difficulty 7 using mostly Rebecca and Floria. My personal strategy I'm pursuing is one that allows high utilization of auto-skill (aka Immortality or Regen spam). I absolutely enjoy watching the dungeon manage itself during battle scenes after meticulous planning with a dash of luck and patience
Progress is part of the fun of the game, dude. Even better, your progress is relatively unique - thanks to gacha, you may well progress in a way unlike anyone else. Buy the progress, lose much of the fun. And if you don’t enjoy the fun in the first place then. Idk. Well done you on buying lots of something you weren’t enjoying, ay. If you’ve spent $60 on iap because you’ve confused this with a p2w game and thought that $$$ = funfunfun, then idk. I’m sort of impressed by your persistence. I can’t recall the last time I carried on dropping $$$ on iap when I blates wasn’t enjoying a game, but. You know. Perhaps that approach has worked for you in the past. If so, well done, ay.
Let me make sure I understand: Buying the IAP makes the game less fun, therefore the dev is selling a feature that makes the game worst. You’re happy with devs that sell stuff that makes their games worst? Why would a dev sell players something that makes their game WORST? Because they are greedy. What do devs do who are greedy and don’t care about making their game worst? They find ways to exploit players to get as much money as possible from them. That's why the game got a 1 star from me. If they truly believed that the progress was good for the game, they shouldn't have sold progress thru IAP.
They are selling IAP for the impatient crowd. They had this feature in Dungeon Defense as well. This game does have grinding elements for incremental progression. It’s okay to have your opinion and not like it. The rest of the folks here on this thread like the game. As fans of the game, we are upset that you gave a 1 star review, because it felt a little extreme. It’s like telling a White Sox fan that his team sucks. Fireworks ensue. As nyanpass said, perhaps this game is just not for you. Get your refund from the App Store and find something else that is fun for you.
Whhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaatttt???? Day 3000? It's a trip to see the strategies people develop with that much time...I've only gotten to about day 230 or so...But this makes me think about what main skills/monsters I really want to focus on...of course, I still have 2 more lords to get to level 10...but wow. Impressive, but also...I'm seeing how much of a time investment this game might be, and I've been down that road with Dungeon Defense: Invasion of Heroes...I played that for like a year and got to hell 13 or 14. I haven't played much the last few days, I think its that grind staring at me. I think if I could change my trap layout the way I could change monster layout, I would be much happier with this game and the feeling of being able to develop strategies. But getting past day 300, such a long time. Maybe there needs a x5 speed
