Universal Dungeon Legends 2 (by Dreaming Wizard Games)

So it's simple, you have to give the goblin leader a crown and he will be satisfied Crown is to be found in the first cave on the very south - east corner of the map, probably the first you visit on this level (even if you have picked it and dropped somewhere else, after new load from save it will also appear there to make sure nobody get's stuck without it.

 

Sadly, I’ve run into a game breaking bug. For some reason, I tried to return to the 3rd level, and the game saves every time that I do that, and I can’t get down to the fourth floor again. (Not sure why I tried to return to the third level, but I did try to.)

When I try to click on the stairs to go down to level four again, the game boots me back to the third level again, then saves again at that point, where I’m stuck right before the stairs to go down.. Also, I should mention that I can’t actually get into the third floor again either, since there’s a door blocking my way.

Now, I’m stuck in an endless loop, of not being able to go to the fourth floor again. I only wish that there was more than one save slot.

This is really sad, because I don’t want to start the game from scratch again.

I sure hope that there is a fix for this one. How do you fix a corruptive save?

Possibly, the game needs to be amended either to prevent none from going up to an earlier level,again, or not automatically saving when one tries to change a level.

Hi David, I am very sorry about that, but don't worry I will save you from that trap, just tell me what platform are you playing (android / iOS?) I think I have removed that bug from iOS in latest update. I will check it and fix it today!

 

Thank you so much, Lukasz! I’m playing on iOS version 15.3.1, iPad Pro, the latest 2021 edition, 12 inch.

I sure hope that you will be able to help me. My character is doing so well, has just achieved level 8, and I’ve found some really nice stuff as well. The best item is probably a helm with an AC of 11 and a big 350 mana bonus. My overall armour class is 50, and I would prefer not to lose this character if at all possible.

I’ll try the latest update, and will let you know in this thread if that solves my issue.

 

Sadly, the update didn’t work, Lukasz. I downloaded the update, and I did turn the head bobbing off, which is a huge plus.

I can tell you exactly where I am. I’m at the top of the stairs, right after I had tried to return to the third level from the fourth yesterday. I can see the closed door leading to level 3 that I can’t get through, and if I turn around, I can see the stairs leading down to level 4. Whenever I try to go forward down those stairs to level 4, the game says “loading”, then I’m right back at the top of the stairs again, unable to proceed any further. Also, the game autosaves again, right at that point.

 

Finally diving into this one. Can difficulty be changed later? Not sure whether to go with normal or hard.

 

I actually went with easy mode myself, since it’s been ages since I’ve played a dungeon crawler, and my reflexes aren’t as good as they used to be.(I’m 68, btw) I wasn’t having any difficulty with the game combat until I ran into a bug, and I’m hoping for a fix.

The game has been very enjoyable thus far, for me until I ran into the bug, and I’m hoping for a fix so that I can continue with my current character.

I don’t know whether the game difficulty can be changed once started.

 

David, actually thanks to you I have understood the nature of this situation, simply the stairs have been cursed
But no worries, I think I have just been able to take the curse off and I am about to send the update. It would be a shame to lose such a nice character. So you should get your hero as it is with all parameters and stuff and you will be able to go down (lvl4 should be also saved as it was - empty with quests solved).
[in other words - when you go to lvl 4 and then back to 3 the game saves you on stairs each time you travel up and down, but because of my logic mistake it saves you on lvl3 and loads level 4 but then loads your position (and you were saved at level 3) so it brings you back to lvl3. So I have just changed loading sequence and everything should work well now

It works, I just need to do some tests to be sure I didn't create another bug somhere else by this changes, and in a few hours I will post the update

 

Here’s a screenshot of my character so far. The hat is the best item, since it has a mana bonus of 350 as well as an AC of 11. I’m sure that there are better items farther down, but it’s by far my best piece of armour.

 

It looks very good as for the level, and the lower you go the higher chance of getting better items. Good news - I have just run several quick tests and all works fine now, update is being built and in an hour or two I will send it to Appstore, I think they should process it till tomorrow.

Excellent, Lukasz! I just tried it, and it indeed works, and I’m back at the start of level 4. Thank you so much for the update!

It does look as though I may have to redo level 4 again, since the automap is “fresh”, with none of level 4 filled in on it, and at least some doors which were locked at the beginning are locked again. It’s no big deal repeating level 4, as long as I can find the necessary keys, and that they are located where I found them the first time I played through this level.

I did proceed a little further, and noticed that there aren’t any of the monsters that I killed the first time, with some of them are lying on the ground, and possibly, the game “remembers” that I killed them when I played the level earlier. Hopefully, I won’t have any issues with locked doors for which I can’t find a key. I’ll play further today and will be sure to let you know.

 

Sadly, it appears that I’m stuck again. I need a silver key to proceed to the more western part of the dungeon. I checked all the rooms that I was able to get to, and it appears that all the monsters that I had killed earlier remained killed, and that all items that I had removed from chests earlier were removed as well. Hence, there was no silver key in the chest from which I had obtained it earlier.

Also, I haven’t seen anything that looks like a crown yet. I checked that first cave near the south, but there’s no crown in it. I may be looking in the wrong cave.
