I liked the first Dungeon Hunter, but I wouldn't mind if they put this one on hold and released N.O.V.A. 2 first.
I'm really looking forward to this one. As an iPad owner I'm crossing my fingers that its just been delayed so that it can be released as a universal app or so that both versions come out at the same time (supposedly after 4.2 hits).
It's probably been done/in testing for a month or more. Gameloft cranks games out very quickly, but they never release two in the same week. My guess is this is just sitting in their "to be released" queue... even though they said it would be released by the end of the Summer.
They are holding this off for the big push. Gameloft likes to release their games in packs. Like they will release 3 or 4 games in a row. One game a week for 3 or 4 straight weeks. This will release with NOVA 2, so if NOVA 2 ain't finished yet, then that is why Dungeon Hunter 2 hasn't released. But two games aren't enough either, and I can't think of anymore Gameloft games confirmed to be in production. There has to be at least three. I suppose Castle of Magic 2, maybe? I don't know if I've forgotten something, but there will be three games released in three weeks, minimum, and NOVA 2 and Dungeon Hunter 2 will be two of the three.
If I remember correctly, Steve Jobs or one of Apples people played or talked about this title on stage, alongside game center at the iPod or iphone conference. I REALLY hope they make s sequel to Castle of Magic, as I LOVED that game You can bet it's not cancelled (dungeon hunter 2)
Typically Gameloft starts showing content and everything when they're releasing said game that week. Maybe, Dungeon Hunter will hit the App Store Thursday!
New Game+? specializations? more open world? multiplayer? OH SNAP! Sold, day one, don't care what the price is.
Its got to come out soon, if you go to www.dungeonhunter2.com you can see all the classes and everything so the game can't be long.
Really looking forward to this game, hope it's released on iPad at the same time as iPhone/iPod Touch (or Universal... wishful thinking).

I didn't even like the first Dungeon Hunter, but I have to admit this looks really cool. I couldn't tell for sure from the video if the multiplayer is going to be local only. They only specifically said it would be local, but they also mentioned "playing with the gamers" which makes it sound like it will be global, and there's also the GameCenter implementation...I haven't seen GameCenter used for local multiplayer, only global. So it must have global multiplayer, right?
when the multiplayer menu comes up in the video it shows 3 choices. Local, online, and something i don't remember
