What I meant was, not THAT many games require network connectivity. They're still very much in the minority.
One more critical flaw of this game in my opinion is the way they handled organization of items. Initially you can have a max of 30 items in your inventory. The problem is that when you start getting Minion Cards into your stronghold, they still consume the inventory slot on you. That means your bag just gets smaller and smaller, unless you spend 10 gems to increase your inventory slots by ONE. Again, another greedy implementation. That's basically one dollar for each inventory slot.
I'll see how it affects me... I don't think I'll be carrying that many items though. I'm early in the game so I guess I'll have to see how it plays out.
Honestly, I haven't heard about TaiChi Panda until now, but I check it out. Or I've heard about it and thought it was some casual fruit slasher... And DH5 - is has some great elements, but also some stuff that reduces my joy to play the game.
I don't know why everybody's surprised. It's the usual freemium game. Highly polished and nice graphics. But not my type of game so i don't see why people are surprised. If you like freemiun then this game should be appealing. If you don't then move on and play one of the many other great games out there (and don't call people 'filthy casuals'- just embarrassing) This thread is about the game not how 'evil' Gameloft or freemium are in the eyes of some people. Gets boring when another thread turns into the usual freemiun moans
Not all games require it no, I was speaking about all gameloft titles going forward. It seems like GL_ryan or Kyle had said that their companies titles would be online requirements to eliminate any exploits because the info even on single player things would go back to their servers.
End of the day is how rich you are (RL) will determine how powerful you are in game. @hitmanb While i really dislike to go into debate on such topic and still do not wish to get involve into one. I still gotta say something. It don't matter what games you use as comparison on mobile and top gross or what not. While I do not instantly hate a game being freemium as long as it has a fair system. But I gotta say if's also because there are tons of other people who thinks like you that make things what it is today which is not necessary. Because at the end of the day all it hurts are the consumers. Let's be honest, people who actually game since the old days knows what are the actual fun thing about game. But in reverse today especially on mobile the fun comes from money. If you are using money to those "fun". They ain't actually fun at all. Yeah might sound confusing the way I phrase it. Maybe reading it a few times will get you the point. But you can continue to think what you think. And others can continue to think likewise. There is no actual right or wrong here. But it's all about what you are looking for. There are people who like to pay a premium amount of money for a game they can enjoy fully. But yet there are people who dont wish to pay for those yet can pay MORE on those freemium games. This does not mean anything. Just 2 difference group of people. And no matter how one wanna argue, the real games back in the days dont work that way. Nvm I dont wanna continue into this. Let it be. For me I will still stand on my point to support on what deserve to be supported. And I surely support premiums more than freemiums generally.
My iPad is in german, but it looks like they´re called "friend codes" May i ask why you want to know?
The conclusion that "all [free to play] hurts are the consumers" in games like this isn't really correct. Here we have an incredibly high quality game that anyone with a capable iOS device can play for free, forever, without paying a penny. It's hard to come up with a business model that's more consumer friendly than "Here you go, here's everything for free." Additionally, the shift to free to play is very likely the entire reason why Dungeon Hunter 5 even exists instead of just getting shelved like other Gameloft premium IP. Just because something isn't being made or sold specifically how you personally want it to doesn't mean it's hostile to consumers.
Why is nobody talking about anything in game, besides it being freemium? I would like to know what is more important; the stats of a weapon or the element? I'm not sure how to specifically equip myself for a level. Has anyone played long enough to know?
Glad to see you're enjoying it (I think anyway). It's worth noting that if the stamina is causing too many problems for people, I'm pretty sure the option is there to tweak it down a bit in a future update. I'm not saying it's going to happen but I have found that if feedback is expressed in a reasonable manner (as you yourself of course always do) and if it is something that will benefit committed players, it is something that is very seriously considered and implemented if at all possible. So, if it does cause you an issue, let em know and just give a bit of detail where and why it does, in a way that they can present to higher ups and I'm confident it will make it on to a list. Get implemented or not, who knows, but considered definitely. As I said before but I'll say it again, the Montreal team is a top notch team that is particularly dedicated and genuinely concerned about player satisfaction so they will pay attention and take seriously reasonable feedback. Good luck with the game.
Hi Rip, actually i don´t mind the stamina, i see it as given being a f2p game. Right now, i´m just curious what the game has to offer. If i run out of stamina i play some One Piece Treasure Cruise or Pocket Mine. Well actually, it´s the other way around with DH5 taking a backseat as i enjoy the other two greatly (talk about digital crack ) I was a bit shocked about the potions initially, but it looks like you get them easily in-game or maybe even able to farm them in some levels. Anyway, thanks for the kind words.
It seems to me in the early levels the element doesn't matter, but I keep seeing the element cycle symbol so I imagine going forward it will have an impact. That said, a 4 star fire sword vs a 2 star earth sword, I imagine you would still take the sword of higher attack, there is an option to carry the 2 different sets of equips, although I haven't fully grasped that yet
This game is awesome! idc that it's free. I don't have to spend money on this to enjoy it. It looks great and the gameplay is nice and quick bursts are good for me with a couple little children and everything else adults deal with I don't need to be a wallet warrior to enjoy it either. Now I'm sure that some people will HAVE to be ON TOP but I'm still having a good casual time with it. Ya win some and ya lose some.
