I don't know what to say about this game. I've played enough to get decent gear, spent $1. I, unlike many others, didn't mind dh4. spent $5 in game on a starter pack and didn't feel the grind was terrible after that. I liked the larger levels and felt it was a fairly decent attempt at a Diablo-esq game. In many ways a contender to be the best on iOS. It's only real competition being DH 1 + 2 and Orc. All of which are no longer working with current iOS versions. In many ways this is a step back for the series. No real multiplayer. Energy systems. Random loot lotteries are the only way to get decent gear. Smaller levels built to grind your energy down so you will pay to replenish it. Many of the things I hate most about ftp gaming. Because of it, I will end up spending less on this than I did on 4. And far less than I would have been willing to on 4 had they charged for the game and maybe expansions down the road. I'm not willing to "pump quarters" into an arcade machine I bought. Under all of the ftp mechanics is a decent game, in one of my favourite genres. So, I continue playing. When it lets me. I would like to think that with time this game will get better. It really just shows me how much of a need there is for a decent game in the vein of Diablo or Torchlight on mobile and leaves me wondering when or if that will happen. Edit: forgot to mention that Bards Tale was still the best available game in the genre on the AppStore. Maybe I'll reinstall it again.
I got refunded all of mine, I felt the dev misrepresented the game. I originally remember them saying you could keep the first items in the game all the way through if you wanted which isn't true at all even with evolution they put a cap on many items so you have to either buy and be extremely lucky still it seems or be very very lucky in game some how. Just visiting being nosey anyway seeing what others are thinking these days.
So what? I mean buy a gem chest and get 3 star stuff that you can evolve to 5 star. Plus you can get any skill stuff to 5 star no problem. Well 4 is no problem to get to 5 it takes a little work. I love the double gold weekend though I can rack up a few hundred thousand easily. I am just saying spend what you are comftorable with and enjoy it for what it is.
I'm very underwhelmed by DH5. Its very slow to load stages, looks the same as DH4, and the skills seem very underwhelming compared to DH4, which had a real skill tree. DH4 was arguably better (probably not the freemium implementation, but still).
I didn't get one either - nor did many players in chat. I'm tempted to try for the 2nd crossbow in the wanted event, rather than hoping I lotto my preferred weapon type from chests. Just wish I knew what attributes it has once evolved.
I just got a 4 star darkness armor from a gem chest pull. Earned gems too not bought but I already have a light armor that is 4 stars anyway so eh.
I speng 12 so far and will keep it at that. The combat is nice, I like the smoothness etc. But I start to dislike the events a lot. They are all the same! Same 2 arenas, some mobs.... Stronghold stuff is the same, too, just slightly different mobs.... It is so repetitive :/ it's a shame tbh... I really like how it plays, how it looks, but it does not even try to make the grind feel like fun, it is getting so monotonous. I really like the gameplay but the content does not keep it varied enough. Such a shame. Full priced game for 20 with more varied content instead of some mediocre pvp, grindy events and long timers would have been such a good deal
There doesn't seem to be many people still enjoying this! Have to say that I am still, but hen I seem to be playing it a lot slower than most people! Currently trying to get a maxed out set of death, light, water and fire, for everything the last event helped with the water side, just need to rank them up! Light and fire are going well. My best armour and weapon are death, but that's all i have in that. Should be able to get another free pull later today, so hopefully will get something cool
I am surprised I am still with it to be honest! I guess I am playing super casual at the moment, the weekend competition helped. I wanted to get the 13k/16k armour/weapon so I just played that and burnt all my energy on that!
i am really enjoying this game. got 75 gems and fusion boosters from the last event. ranked #8 i think. but the water armor and crossbow was useless because tier 3
Here are my 5* and 4* items. Not sure which weapon i should level and make 5* next, greatsword or the dual blades hmm
I wish I could get 4* stuff. My glaive and armour can be upgraded, but I can get the evo mats as I am not good enough in the events
Looks like as of today you get 4 gems and a potion each day just for logging in. Hoping we get something for placing in stronghold leagues...
Yes hopefully it's a daily thing and not just today only. The leagues haven't updated for me yet, so maybe we will finally get our rewards Also there is another event, same as last week but with light armour and sword. I expect we will get two more events like this to round out the elements, and then maybe we will get something different Edit - add me if you want help with this weeks event.
