Thanks for the information on 10 hit. I'm going to use the 5-star fusion booster from the invite reward to get it off to a good start in 3-star mode. My perspective on climbing over the paywall is I expect that with a maxed set of 3-star gear with damage items all the right color, I should be able to complete an expert level that can drop a 3-star that can be upgraded further. Moderate potion use included. The evolution materials might take lots of pots and an NPC tank who paid for their gear. If that's not the case, that will be the end for me.
After looking at the wiki, a lot of those 3 star drops on expert level, is already at maxed evolution. However, there is an upcoming event, mentioned earlier, where you can get "epic" level loot, which is higher than the 3 star "rare" loot.
I think it's lame that you actually have to find a good NPC to get an edge in battle. And even then, they need to have bought some good gear.

Paywall? Bro, you are barely a week into this game. This game is meant for long term and not in 1 week u get to clear everything. If seeing money spending player too strong for u and caused you to be emotionally frustrated, u might not be suitable for this kinda game. Chill guys. This game is barely 1 week old. Gameloft is giving away free 4 stars gears via event so just keep doing it.
Oh sweet, the event is up. My character still seems a bit too squishy though. Dont think ill be able enough points to get the armor or the sword. Maybe some other event in the future. Back to grinding!
If you have a water great sword 2 star level 12 you can kill the easy boss very easily I also don't think I'll get very far. I may be able to beat the hard level, but it costs 25 energy and I only have 40 so that's a lot of waiting Edit - that was 25 energy down the drain. Forgot to switch to my water sword ah well maybe later. Much later as my energy is empty Hopefully I can get a few potions and gems out of it Also I am getting 5 slots for 10 diamonds, so I am going to buy some more before they change it to 1...
Anyone already got the first available gear and weapon from the event? Why they didnt made it available to inspect it? At the end it's two star equip, heh. Not sure yet if it is worth it to spend all the energy on this event as a non-iap player (unless someone is hacking) yet.
To get the first armor from the event, you need to be doing the hard level about 5x per day. To get the first weapon, it's closer to 6x per day. From regular energy recharge, that requires 21 hours and 25 hours each day, respectively. So some combination of strategic level-ups or re-investing earned gems as energy refills will be needed to get the weapon. Alternatively, you could not worry about the items and go for earning 30 gems (3/5 of a gold chest) by playing 3.6x per day (hard) or 5x per day (normal). (I'm assuming Expert can't be safely done without having already spending money on chests - if expert is doable with maxed 3-star items, then slightly less energy is needed to get the rewards.)
I manage to do the epic one (35 energy) without a problem on this event, using a water weap I have 1.8k atk and 2.1k def legendary is impossible for me tho
Im pretty sure, almost certain that Expert can be done with 3 star weaps/armors, and having one of those pieces to be water would help alot
Anyone know the stats on the 13k and 16k rewards? I'd hate to spend all energy for 5 days on this event and have it be 3* cap. There is no way I'm getting more than the 16k reward.
Yes, that would piss off a large contingent of players, but that isn't a guarantee that they won't do it.
It is pretty hard to reach the required points to get those items while at the same time trying to level up / farm mats etc, so i'm pretty sure the event armor and weapon comes as a clean 4 star, evolvable to 5
