Oh god, getting so tired of raiding people who has 5 star monster def.. there are more of them than i thought, must be a lot of guys who spends a couple of hundred dollars on this 5 star melee/tank creatures i can kill with a lot of kiting, but the ranged 5 star mobs are insanely OP
Man I just got a 3 star gear that does like an frost nova around me. The graphics on that are awesome too. Thats the gear that will make me want to play more!
Wait,wait,wait,wait! So there is no way to get at least 4* gear without opening the golden chest and using diamonds?Only 3* weapons/armor can be obtained without spending money?
It looks like they took Puzzles and Dragons / Summoner's Call's "your 1 star card max out at 3 star" approach, instead of Heroes Charge's "your 1 star card is perfectly usable in end game contents". I am slightly disappointed that you can't use your 1 star sword forever but understand their decision to be able to introduce higher tier gear as needed. Not a problem at all! Looks like the game bombed in Western markets, as hack-and-slash just has no chance here. But it is doing well in Asia, top 50 in China/Korea. Did you know Taichi Panda is a top 10 grossing game in China? But like many huge local hits (Mixi's Monster Strike for example) they have problem overseas. No worries, these market has more IAP spending than western world, I am hoping the success in these markets alone will keep Gameloft going with huge content updates! Truly a magnificent game, far superior to any other hack and slash game I have played on app store! I have not been able to get into a hack and slash game in a long time. The single player games are way too short and shallow. Here even if I don't have time to play the campaign, I log on and raid other players 3 times every now and then. It is addictive like chocolate. Add guild wars from COC (the best guild battle in mobile by a huge mile, perfectly practical for players to attend on their own schedule, incredibly intense and demanding!) and I will be playing this for a very very long time.
I am sure they will give out 3-5 star gear with events and challenges, similar to Puzzles and Dragons. I also don't think anyone got deep enough into single player to say for sure whether you will get 3-5 star items late in the campaign. Puzzles and Dragons did not gave 3-5 star stuff in regular campaign but they had event dungeons that gave them out like candy. Also since this game copies Puzzles and Dragons's weekly evolution material system and buddy system, it should shower you with enough free gems and once you have enough inventory slots, you probably should spend gems to roll for gear once every week or two. I am fairly sure the 3-star items you get from chests can all be evoed to 4-5 stars, even if you don't get a 4-5 star item directly.
Mission 26 gives 10 strike skill. It's extremely helpful. You disappear and hit enemies 10 times. You don't take damage during that time. Def farm it. Ken I've opened 3 gem chests and only 3*. It's disappointing knowing only certain 3*s can evolve further. Still loving the game though! Some pay big bucks. Level 20's with 5*s and 4* minions. Real tough. I pray this weeks dailys aren't brutal so I can get my evo mats.

Potions are rewarded in Missions ( mostly hard mode ) so use them wisely. I got 3 today from ticket (friend) chests. Leagues your automatically put into by doing stronghold. Unlocked after mission 7. Good night guys
Just get a lot of friends to be able to open those chests and sometimes they are in there. Then do the second difficulty of missions and try not to use any so you can stockpile.
With gear, you can get up to 3 star max evolutions free from missions. I wonder if the same applies to minions. For instance maybe the minions we find from missions can only have 3 star max evo, versus the minions you get from gem chests, which can be evolved to 5 stars.
