Lol @ "zomg I just died, must be a paywall" players. If anything game may be too easy. Get crossbow with life per hit and you just don't die. You can get friends much stronger than you to tank and you just hit enemies from long range. If anything gets hard, you can farm for unlimited potions from hard mode dungeons and potion through. I am sure there will be harder challenges but I am a dozen missions in and it has less grind than any of the previous DH games.
Ye, it was +5 for me too since the beginning. I had my account reset to start a new one and it was still +5. I didnt saw one single complaint about difficulty yet.
Anyone know how to get potions? I haven't seen any in shops, or in the freemium "buy stuff" section...
When you run out, you can still tap the potion icon to drink a potion at the cost of 7 gems. Additionally, clearing each of the stages for the first time in Hard mode will give you 1 guaranteed potion. Also, you can get them at random from the bounty chest.
Are some same-star monsters/gear dramatically more powerful than others? I evolved a 1 star monster to 2 star, at level 1 he had 500 health. I then got a 2 star monster from drop and at level 1 he had 1800 health. I tested my own dungeon and can not kill him.
Yeah that cost me dearly (when I was brand new and didn't know better - but should have!) Wish you could turn that off. Grrrr....
So everyone knows, you cannot upgrade a 1 star item to 5 stars. You can only upgrade a 1 star to 3 stars, then there are armors that start with 3 stars that you can upgrade to 5 stars. SAME with weapons. So either you have to get it from the chest that costs 50 diamonds, OR deep in the game.
so I went for it a purchased 5$ IAP for gems, it gave me a 3 star piece of armor..... and I equipped it and I'm still dying just as easily as I usually did with my other armor....
I've also gotten a 3 star weapon that couldn't even be evolved once, so it's max was 3 star. Im wondering if maybe 1 star base weapons can only reach to 3, and 2 star can reach to 4 etc.
I just uinstalled the game, it keeps crashing on Ipad air 2, is it only me? Will maybe install it again in near future.
From the wiki this appears to be the case. Many of the items you get, for free or missions, have a max 3 star evolution. By doing this, this forces you to buy the gems, for the possible chance of the 5 star gears. From the gem chest, I did buy a few. Most were only 3 stars, but I found these items could be evolved to 5 stars.
So I've reached a bit of a holding pattern. All my active gear is maxed two star and I won't be able to evolve anything until Wednesday's event yields Ancient Trinkets. (Barring using $ to buy chests) When I try expert levels (which could drop 3 star stuff), I feel sorely under-geared. I can work on diversifying my color options. I can also grind levels / resources. Minions can also be upgraded from two star to three star without ancient Trinkets (at the cost of 50k Quartz each). My question is, has anyone found any "must-farm" hard level drops besides the belt on level 4 hard? Other than gathering three star evolution materials, nothing has grabbed my attention.
I think it's really important to find gears that synch with eachother, as the % value will be so strong the further you get in to the game. I got lucky with my two 4 star equips cause one is a crossbow and the other is an armor that gives 10% more crossbow dmg Now i also found a 2* shield which gives 9% more to dark armor (which happens to be my armor) so i'm definatly going to evolve that one as soon as events for materials starts. It's good to make a long term plan on what kind of gears you could have that would synch with eachother, buffing eachother that is.
