Tried reading through most of this thread. A lot of questions have been answered already, but I can't seem to find an answer to my question.

Is there true live multiplayer coop play? As in two people duoing dungeons.

If yes, is it cross platform? DH4 was not cross platform, which was the main reason why I never bothered.

    Thanks!

When I got DH4 on release day, I played 3 hours with it, then deleted it because the flaws were bigger then its merits, imo.
DH5 suffered exactly the same fate. This is no classical, seamless hack&slay adventure anymore. The game comes in mission-based form, no roaming, no exploring, instead you have tubular levels. That's not bad in games like Kingdoms of Amalur, where a good story is dominating. But even there you had some freedom to roam around. DH5 missed the opportunity to go back to the roots. The graphics and sounds/music are really good, but I prefer gameplay over gfx. DH5, the world doesn't feel as one. And inside the levels - go from point A to point B. Wait, there's a small way to point C - ah, a chest. Well, back to point B. Combat... yeah, press and hold attack button, occassionally switch weapons or trigger a special ability. Press and hold attack button again and again, until finish. In a time where we have games like Monster Hunter or Beast Quest, no. And the dodge ability is pretty useless to me, at least for normal mobs. The only thing you do is hoping that your life bar will hold until reaching the level exit and you grinded enough to survive.

I don't say DH5 is a bad game, but it doesn't kept me satisfied enough to go on. Normal freemium game - I don't have high demands for them. But I expect different from a DH game.

What is it with Gameloft and controller support? So many other developers realize how important it is, why doesn't Gameloft? For such a big studio you would think they'd have no problem implementing it, but for some reason it's never high up on their list. I am still waiting for MFi support for MC5 and NOVA 3, and now DH5 as well. What's funny is that MC5 and NOVA 3 have had gamepad support on Android for a long time already, why not iOS? I always thought that they prioritized iOS...

Aren't they trying to promote their own home-brand controller that only works on Gameloft games?

Played pretty solidly yesterday. The new additions and the changes to the game were not needed. The already had a decent game with DH4 and this is a step back, everywhere but graphically. Graphically I think it's great. Otherwise, has nothing to keep me hooked.

Tried to mesh up CCG mechanics, with Quest for might loot mechanics, while throwing in the traditional button smasher.

They tried to dig too deep and offer lots of options to keep people coming back, and maybe I'm in the minority, but when I play a hack and slash, that is what I want to play, not whatever it is that they have thrown together.

Slam me all you want, just giving my honest review of why it doesn't do it for me....but it's a free game so there is no reason to try the game out for yourself

Yeah i got it in about 6 tries. It's the first spell i gotthat dealt decent damage. Until i got the Ten-Hit thingy which is a back item. You basically disappear and become invulnerable, and deal dmage 10 times to random targets. Onw target on screen means that target takes 10 hits. Pretty useful against bosses to deal damage, but mostly to become invulnerable for a short time.

I dont think they are doing that anymore. They do however already implement MFi controller support in a couple titles. The new BIA has it, and i think DH4 does too. Gameloft_Ryan who's our resident gameloft rep mentioned in this thread that mfi is planned for this one.

How do you use more than a 2 star minion? I am only able to use 1 of them and the rest are 1 stars.

I think you can get it from the 50-gem chest. You can also evolve minions similar to how you evolve equips. Uses other minions instead of equips to fuse naturally.

I only got 3-star spear from my accumulated 50 gems, but it's still my best weapon right now.

Ok I might be addicted to this now. I got a 4 star armor off a gem chest and I can take a beating right now. Man wish that was a weapon though because all I have is a 2 star weapon.

They almost need to name a new genre:"auto-play social rpg" APSRPG

I'm about trained to grind in online games so much now (and this goes back to 90s and 00s released PC mmos) that I don't blame kids for wanting a spoon-fed path that does it for them... But it's not a game!

iOS gets pointless visual effects through metal (even though there are android devices could totally handle them, but whatever), Android gets controller support.

In the end, no one wins.

Lol! I've been farming level 4 hard for the belt as well. 6 times today so far, won't stop till I get it.

Edit: finally got the belt, on my 8th run. Also found a 2* staff, pretty badass if you ask me. Light element.
