I watched the video and I only saw having 2 potions and having to pay 20 gems if you wanted to use without waiting 8 hours. I wouldn't mind if you could pay 20 gems and from then on you could use any potions you have on you without waiting. A one time fee not 20 gems each time you wanted to use more then 2 or 3 potions in 8 hours.
How many different armor/weap are there in this game? My biggest problem with these dungeon crawler is that there seems to be only 10 different weapon/armor of the exact same stats, no variation of bonus stats.
Quoted from last page. Very little negative reaction. Really getting excited about this one! Sweet! Slightly off topic but can anyone comment on whether DH1 is worth the price if I already have DH2?
Sounds like IAP isn't too bad, but the front page says it's shoved in your face... so still kinda annoying.
Shoved in your face = Gameloft isn`t hiding it from you in an InGame Store like other Developers are doing it. Watch the Gameplay Trailer on the OP then you will know more about it and no it`s not in a bad Way that would make you puke.
Honestly this isn't too bad. My biggest complaint is that there's always the store, gold and gems bar displayed on your HUD, really annoying and distracting. Could've been easily just put in the pause menu and not cluttering up the main menu.
When he went into battle and got hit (after the bridge), he was able to use his other potions. You don't have to wait 8 hours to use a potion unless you're out of potions. Regardless, having to worry about potions is pretty bad.
Its not mandatory to play, but def shoved in ur face. Every time u check ur weapon inventory, 2 buyable weapons are right there, check ur armor, 2 buyable armors right there. Cut scenes promote items, the shop link is conveniently placed in almost every menu. Its really not bad, honestly the only one that bugs me is the potion system is on a timer so they refill after a set time. So if u are at an area u need potions, u are screwed until they refil wich is hours sometimes. Ur health replenishes on its own but u need to get a break in the action, u cant tank a boss w no potions. Its a real shame because id pay ten bucks for this if it had fully integrated multiplayer (the multiplayer is only some levels and its arena, waves style.) and no ridiculous 8hr potion timer. Otherwise, the best gear comes from crafting, and the mats arent iap so thats fine, but in hectic arpgs that are designed to kill u, its just sucky to be hindered by potions.
So not only does game loft copy game concepts, but they moved on to copying real racing's timer model. Lol
Just watched TA Plays for this - 8 hour timers for health potions? Really? What is it with games and timers these days? I tend to play mages/squishier classes, so being able to use 1-2 health potions per hour is really not going to be fun. Still gonna grab this - I have the space, and it's free - but my expectations are steadily going down-down-down.
Man that potion timer has me kind of disappointed and I cant even play it for another hour and a half or so.... Potions are kind of essential in a game like this.
Well hopefully there might be a way around that. Question, will DH4 launch world-wide at midnight or dome random time during the 11th? Since it isn't out for CAN and what not yet.
Eh. Later in the game (but still in the waaayyy beginning for a dungeon crawler) this gets too hard too fast. You're forced to pony up for better gear or grind like crazy. Good thing I now know the sound fix for DH2, thank you so much callmercado! Back to that for my dungeon crawling needs. This could just be so much better if there were two separate apps. The DH4 free+ and the DH4 Premium where GL sticks whatever price tag they want on it. Please!
Yep, this is where I'm at and if this is any indicator of the rest of the game then I'm severely disappointed. I want to earn, not pay for, my epic gear!
Amen, brother. (Sorry. I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by.) Does Gameloft have a good reputation for listening to user feedback and changing? Because it sounds like this game has some genuinely great parts mixed in with genuinely frustrating ones.
