gears in the shop are related to your level or game progress?
I feel like it's more related to your game progress than of your level.

Good observation, definetly changed according to your game progress.

Maybe it's just me but I've found the blademaster (dual wield "assassin" class) to be worlds above the warsworn tanking class. I surpassed my progress with the warsworn (that took a few days) in a single night with the blademaster. Is it possible I just wasn't using him right?

Also has online been extremely buggy for everyone? It's been fun when it works, but the servers are generally unstable. I'm guessing its just due to the sheer volume of people on them. I haven't spend any money on gems yet but if the game continues to grow on me I have no problem throwing down $5 or so. I only wish timers worked offline as well.

I'm torn. I've enjoyed it enough that I could drop a few bucks on it and justify the cost. However, the IAP model is so offensive that I just don't want to. My current thinking is that if I'm having fun grinding it out then I want to beat the game without spending any money just out of spite.

550 gem bundle will get you far and is pretty much all you need. Get bag expansions and the life leech skill. Use left over on life leech ring

Speaking of skills, I noticed the price to respec your character goes up every time you level. Does anyone know if there is a cap on that? It could get AWFULLY expensive to respec if not...and I'm guessing by the time you're high level you're probably going to want to redistribute some of those early skill points.

Oh wow, that escalating respec cost is brutal! I didnt realize that, designed my build for eventual respec.

Very uncool. The bag size is also uncool.

It really is fairly hard to play this without some IAP. If nothing else, the tiny bags is a great annoyance, and it would take a lot of work to get enough gems to fix that for free.

I'm with you there. I've spent a lot of time on it and normally I'd want to pay a little bit to support the servers, but the system in place is incredibly obnoxious. Also there's not a lot I'd want to spend money on, outside of bag upgrades. I don't want to unlock any skills early because its expensive and takes the fun out of leveling, and I don't want to buy any weapons or consumables because that can very easily break the game (plus I hate buying consumables). Is it worth it to buy a ring? I could definitely go for the EXP and money bonus, because it will maintain its usefulness in the long run and won't affect the game enough to break it, only eliminate some of the grinding.

Also, does anyone know off the top of their head how much bag upgrades cost? Do they go up in price the more you buy?

Its 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 I think. It escalates anyway - -might go up a bit more than that at a time. You get only 2 more slots for each upgrade. Its for one character only.

If you want to tinker with building up higher level charms than you find through combining, its pretty much mandatory to get at least a few upgrades, and it wont feel like enough.

They do. I bought the first one for 10 gems and it gave me 2 more slots. The next upgrade is 20 gems.

I have 39 gems now from PvP and ad watching. I think I'm just going to keep saving them and buy the XP ring once I have enough.

well for that I might as well start a bunch of timers and watch a few videos. I did that to unlock the third character slot yesterday, the videos only range from 15s to 30s so it won't take long to get the 10 gems for the first upgrade at least. how much is the tin ring?

Tin is 50 gems and 10% XP and gold.

However, the Ducal Signet is also 50 gems and gives 12%, so obviously I'd recommend going for that one instead.

Fair enough. Looks like I won't be buying anything anytime soon, unless there is IAP worth buying

It's funny - I'm in the exact same boat. I managed to beat normal today and have enjoyed doing so and wouldn't have minded paying something for that, but hated the IAP presence so much that I didn't want to pay a dime. I think that it resulted in the game being a lot more time consuming but a lot of fun as some of the battles took many tries as they were a reach at my gear levels. I probably could have used one of the rings, but they weren't necessary. It's funny that the end of the game was actually much easier than the middle part (and it took me a while to even beat the first arena, the Warmage one, even when the potion timer was working and I used one).

I have barely been able to play pvp and have never tried coop as the servers seem to always be down. I was getting reamed by level 13s in pvp at times even when I was well geared, so it was obviously a pay to win phenomenon. Now I'm just working through the arenas again on elite difficulty, but it's already becoming a laborious process as the mobs have tons of HP and I don't see any better weapons for sale.

Will there ever be better than tier 46 items for sale for gold? I saw that the achievement for the 4th elite arena is based upon tier 60 weapons, but those may just be for gems.

Yea, you were totally right about this. I got past that initial group of 18s, cleared the well side quest and then it was a short trip to unlock the next arena which I should be able to grind in co-op now. Thanks for the tip.

Good to know it was possible to beat normal. Like you alluded to, I'm sure you will never see the best gear without paying.

The further I get without paying, the more I feel like I'm sticking it to the man. It really would be a phenomenal game if it had a premium price with no IAP, but these are the times we live in. Shame.

IAP or not, it would be pretty ####ing nice if the potion system actually worked.

It think they are at a certain point. I remember seeing something about it in this thread actually, but I'm far from beating the game so I couldn't tell you personally. Maybe you need to beat another dungeon first?

I realized I hadn't looked since beating the third elite arena so looked again and the tier 58 weapon is now available for 4.8 million. That's going to take some grinding...
