Actually, playing it without any IAP investure might actually only tax their servers. If they have even the most basic of diagnostics tools (which Gameloft have), they can clearly tell the difference between those who play for free and those who invest money into their games, and those who never pay to play are often considered a necessary evil for freemium developers, but not an asset (in spite of any secondary marketing effects).
Man, you are wrong about it. Last item tier, buyable with gems, is actually 73. After finishing the game, you should just redo the arena-like levels, so it opens the next one. And as you progress, you wil have more options for buying revealed. Then, the eternal arena becomes really "eternal", i was fighting level 120-130 mobs, and with best gear, best gems in, and maxed skills they take several slices before falling, the bosses are at least 10 times longer battles. And i have to tell you , that at level 54, it wasnt super fast exping (decent though). So i just cant imagine getting to level 78 or 84 for opening skill, or worse, getting higher levels to improve these skill. So level-wise, endgame is impossible, the great thing is the gems can afford you endgame at level 40. Dont waste your money for gems though, the numbers are JUST crasy. What if I tell you the endgame I described is made with 1 MILLION gems? Are you ready to shell that much out?! For a grinder?!? I hope you all are not. Became longer than intended, appologies. And my best regards to the fellows players.
bad bug? ha, what an f'ing joke this game is. if they want to rape everyone on money thats fine, but they better come correct and supply a game that doesnt have this many goddamn bugs i just started a campaign w the female archer character, and tapping the upper left icon no longer even works. it doesnt bring up the menu whatsoever. also it puts the "special moves" on the left for some reason. which makes no sense. it gets in the way of the movement pad. I assume this is also an issue cuz no rational person would say ok, yes, for this character we should put that special move THERE. Gameloft. get your shit together.
Well, it never helped in the previous multiple titles that shipped with the *same* set of bugs, didn't really feel like giving them the benefit of the doubt here. Either: Gameloft is using the same shoddy libraries they've had problems with for close to 2 years now OR they're intentionally borking these things in hopes of shoving people toward IAP Don't know which it is, and I'm past caring. Just how many games do they get to ship where IAP elements that are supposed to regenerate don't, and neighbor/friend systems that make it so you don't have to buy so much IAP fail to work more than 2% of the time?
Did you get pass the tutorial? The inventory/menu is locked until you find the first chest in the tuto. For the buttons you can customize your HUD and move them wherever you like in the options menu. I think for ranged classes the button where put there to allow for aiming the attack skills with the right stick. On my archer I kept the attack skills on the left and the roll skill on the right.
The buttons activate once past the tutorial, yes. The ranged classes have a dual-stick shooter control. You shoot with the right stick, so it makes sense to put the abilities there, too. You've just p'wned yourself a bit.
His post made my day! While I'm sure he's frozen in the fetal position in a cold shower waiting for the burn marks to subside I would love to hear about the exact moment of realization. So so epic!
I've actually managed to continue enjoying this without spending a penny. I'm only level 33 but should manage to move up for a bit. As someone mentioned earlier, I bought the tier 46 weapon well before I had 30 void stones (only have 11 now). As the void weapon is tier 47, it's close to as good and available for 1.6 million gold. As each run of the Giant Steppes netted about 200k and wasn't that hard with the 540k weapon, this isn't as bad as it sounds. Giant Steppes also drops some arcane crystals, but not enough for void gear. As someone who has suffered through Diablo grinding, this isn't that awful. The timers for upgrading gear are getting slightly ridiculous though.
