This will be the case for freemiums because the IAPs are such a core component of the game design. It's not the others members fault it's just the industry at the moment. As Connector said it will be those who are digging deeper in a few days
I guess I'm doing ok... Although I'm actually farming for Ancient Stones, which require 3 Dragolith stones, which THEN require 9 Black Irons. I only have enough ancient stones to make 1 voidstone. -sigh- it's worth it in the end because I will be so OP. so then I can farm void equips even faster in your face GL, you ain't takin' my cash that easy.
Nope. FPS are FPS. That's a genre. Clones are taking something and copying several individual components. Modern Warfare/Combat similarities extend beyond genre and into cloning storyline, setting, perks, design etc. This is the same for NOVA/Halo, Gangstar/GTA, Shadow Guardian/Uncharted, Heroes&Chaos/WOW. Being opposed to having your mind changed is cool if you like having blinders on.
Im actually really enjoying this game, can't seem to find it on tapjoy so I dropped 5 bucks on 550 gems and I bought the best ring, definitely ALL I'll be spending my money on, as I enjoy grinding out stuff. Im loving the ease of co-op and the difficulty of the main campaign so far.
For some reason I'm hesitating to delete this game. Sure the IAP is very, very instrusive, but I feel once I get the Crystal Dirks, I'll be hooked.
This is one example why i quit this game and give up on Game Loft on a personal level: The top Crafted weapon that would take you near 50+ hours of pure farming is not the best weapon in the game. Game Loft wants you to pay for that. The whole game is a perfect example of a company sacrificing their reputation for profit and they will sufer for it down the line. Goodbye GameLoft, you lost a paying customer who supported you since day 1. Your games have gone downhill with the out of controll in App purchases slowing down any game enjoyment.
I, too, have finally deleted the game. While I was able to get so far, I finally hit the dreaded pay wall. The IAP model just sucked the life out of the game. Had it been fair or reasonable, it would have been a differant story. All other Gameloft titles on my iPad have been removed as well. There are plenty of developers that cater to their clients taht I can spend my money on, not the other way around.
Chaos has probably dropped over a $1000 on gameloft games, so who knows. Probably hundreds. Chaos, just because the best bought item is better than a crafted item doesnt mean that item cant be dropped somewhere in the gamewithout purchasing it.
Biggest question: Is there any other way to earn gems in this game other than by purchase? Or to convert earned gold into gems? Also, what does gold allow you to get, exactly? I tried the game for about an hour or two, and felt like my gold was almost useless.
That was just one reason i quit this game and Developer. Too many to list on their latest games but in this one having to spend 1+ minute clearing my inventory every 5 minutes or less of playtime comes to mind.
Yes i expanded my inventory to 46max and still had to spend 10-20% of my playtime micro managing inventory. No fun. I spent maybe $120 on this to answer the other question, i think i could have beat the game if i kept going, i only had 2 more instances to go.
So it seems I need 234 Black Iron to make Crystal Dirks. Damn. I've so far only gotten 36 Black Iron that have all been transmuted into Ancient stones. This is quite the forever proccess.
Um... Wut? $100... And ... $20?!! That's been my total iOS gaming and music budget from Halloween to now!
Stash? Yep they'll probably add a stash... like 10 slots for 300gems, then 2 additional slots for 20gems. This is Gameloft we're talking about. They'll suck out all your cash
I couldn't believe that when I read it. $120? That's why companies keep churning out freemium titles. Ridiculous to spend that on IAPs regardless of age. As people keep spending silly money we're the ones to suffer gaming wise
