    The game is easy lol.
Just play coop maps in multi. From time to time there will be op players that clear everything for you and you pick up the pieces :p.

Here is the sad truth of Gameloft's Feeemium tiles. They have forgone the avid gamer in favor of players who blindly shell out money repeatadly for IAP. Those players who do blindly and repeatadly purchase IAPs are in the general monitory. However, this appears to be more than profitable for GL. Just like DH3, those disgruntled and dissatisfies gamers will slowly dwindle down as they loose interest and move to games that aren't all about leeching as much money as possible form thier customers.

What Gameloft refuses or fails to see is the damage that they are causing to their company and reputation. They are more interested in a payout now than in longevity and avid fans. I was once one of those avid GL fans. At one point, I had 28 Gameloft titles on my 64GB iPad1. That number has been dwindled down to a mere 2 on my iPad4. The last time I put any money down for GL was before the release of DH3. With the release of DH4, I am even less inclined to put down money as the Freemium model of DH4 has reached ludicrous proportions. Never has a game been so blatant, in your face IAP, disregard for the player design. Apparently, the new model is to push beyond the acceptable boundaries of Freemium and IAP titles, then rear it back into acceptable levels, maximizing and squeezing out every possible drop of profits. But what a price to pay. Look at all the lash back from players and the gaming community. In the end, was it all worth it Gameloft?

I'm very surprised crafting materials can't be purchased with a high amount of gems. Seems to be something they'd do.

Gameloft had a good reputation? Maybe as gamers but they have been putting out soulless clones of other's highest selling IPs for years. They showed their hand early that they didn't care about things like good will or reputation. They just wanted money.
They will measure this games success by its spot on the highest grossing list just like EA and co.

A big pity, the game looks and feels right, but it's obvious they intentionally broke the mechanics of what would make this a good action rpg to fit an aggressive iap-driven ftp model.

Is there an endless battle mode in multiplayer??? If so how do you access it?

    I dunno
I enjoyed some of the older games, they felt fun and well made. Case in point: Miami. DH1+2. NOVA 2. Ayden. All fun and great games that were rip offs but they had heart.

Contrary to what some has said here, transmuted items are NOT the best items in the game. I can confirm that there are stronger items than them after you get around level 33(through gems). I say around level 40ish would be where you can buy stronger items with coins.

So my advice is NOT to worry about getting transmuted items early in the game because by the time you get them there would be superior items available in the shop.

I'm asking this for a friend, so try to make sense of it 'cause I have no idea what he's talking about...

Can you put two different element gems into one piece of equipment and will they stack? Like, poison and lightning?

I don't mind gameloft creating shameless clones of games that will never come to ios. It's the pay wall I can't stand.

Yes, you can add both charms to a single piece of equip or different pieces if equip and they will stack.

Under inventory tab, next to your 3d avatar is a tiny button looks like a pie chart. Click it, it will show all your stats like health regen/s, dmg per sec, and all elemental procing abilities.

Gameloft are a weird company for sure. On the one hand you have this, and on they other Asphalt 7 which is one of of the best games and biggest bargains in the store. They certainly have some very talented people working for them so maybe it's best to judge their individual games based on their own merit. They're all made by different studios around the World anyway. I haven't got a grudge against them. Absolutely loved Gangstar, TDKR, Modern Combat and NOVA. Hope they still deliver the odd game as good as those.

I def agree some of the games they make are outstanding and not freemium but some are terribly ridden with IAP.

I was very very fond of GL in the beginning. To me they brought the closet thing to console gaming to a phone. Once again that was MY perspective(I know others will say <such and such> company did it first). Regardless if GL games were clones or similar to other titles already out, I mean are most games out now clones of earlier takes of eachs genre? We could argue that Acclaim cloned quake with their offering on the n64 turok, both are FPS. I just don't get the GL is copying, cloning other company's games. I'm not looking to change anyone's mind in that regard and nobody will change mine.

My views on GL have not changed. They are a business and looking to be profitable. If they would had made good money from selling their games at 6.99(or whatever price) they would had stayed that way. My guess is they make a hell of a lot more money in the long run with the game being initially free by having a great deal of downloads that might had otherwise been passed over by sticker shock, so to speak. Once said player starts playing and gets to liking it the game can become a bottomless pit with all sorts of different ways to nickel and dime the consumer(think with freemiun games there should be a counter present that displays at all times the amount of money that a player has invested in game-bet a lot would be shocked seeing the total). So instead of a game being capped at 6.99 it could turn out to be 60,80,200 from one player(somebody on this thread has openly stated they have spent upwards of 500.00 on these type freemiun models).

Maybe I'm just old fashioned but this type of model just doesn't feel right to me. For one I can't play the game the way I want. I'm forced to wait for timers to expire, can't use potions when I want, inventory space is so low. Instead of enjoying the game I'm constantly hinder almost in every way of gameplay, unless I want to spend money. Which I do NOT mind, GL deserves money for their effort, but at a certain point of investment I would like the game to offer me the option of all timers, potion limits, inventory space, character slots to be removed for good.

Is there a thread somewhere where people can talk about the actual game in terms for skill set ups, rare items etc instead of just bitching about the IAP?

I'm sure there will be. It just came out. With the model in place it will take longer to pass on the knowledge you seek.

  18. Just wait about 3 more days, the thread will calm down after everyone has said their 2 cents worth about freemiums and inapps.

It'll get better for you soon. :)

Personally after playing this game, I'm a bit worried. I'm having so much fun with the game's story and the game play, but a part of me is kinda of ticked on the potions/ iap part. I think I can say this is the best game of the genre on ios and because of the negative review GL many people will fail to see how great a game this is, esp the story line. I just hope GL don't give up on the game and just ignore the series b/c of the lack of support.
