I said before that those gem weapons are loot-able... I'm not sure if it was a bug, but I got one of those craft weapons once. And latter picked up a tier 25 weapon, which is exactly the same thing in the shop, even has a gem on it!
Do you want to know how to get the best weapons? The crafted weapons are the best. That's why they take so long to farm. I don't know if enemies can drop more than just black iron, I'm only a tenth of the way there to getting my crystal dirks.
So far it has been just me farming 9 black irons, turning them into 3 dragolith stones, then turning them into one ice stone. It's quite the proccess >_>
Today I played some Co-op with an OP warmage that 1 hit K.O.ed everything in the map. She said that the level is meanless, it's the equips that matter. She had void equipment >_>
Yep, why I just deleted this game. It's a truly fantastic game but its greatly diminished by this IAP freemiun state. It really bugs the living piss out of me because I truly do get into these type of games and after your finished leveling up and collecting great loot, crafting great weapons, then combining with all sorts of equipables you take it to multiplayer and have a great time. This is like a 1-3 time a year GREAT release that will provide hours, days, weeks worth of enjoyment. Yet, there is nothing I can do to attain that level of fun. It's a shame really because these types of games might as well be oxycodone to some due to its addictive qualities and since there is no cap on price rest assured there will be a few who dump 100's into this game. It's their money, their free will but I find it a little shaddy on < insert any dev company> that goes about pricing their game in this fashion. How do I wish they(gameloft) had a tier system in place for purchase. For example, 25.00 flat out purchase all IAP removed fully functional game, 15.00 most IAp removed, free all IAP in place. I'm sure there is some reason why it can't be implemented but its a nice thought. I just want to be able to play the game on my terms. Call me old fashioned but I miss the days of just making a single purchase and owning the game.
The last statement is a very good one, actually. It feels like "we'll allow you to play when, in trade, you will pay". I can barely accept the grind level from FF games, DH4 is already over the top. I am a gamer, not a miller.
How exactly do you do that though? Pay $25 and you get all that IAP equipment for free? So many of the games mechanics are designed with IAP in mind that it just doesn't translate into a premium model. It would basically have to be a separate game.
There is one other method they could do. Have a free version, then a full version IAP, or chapter IAP to unlock everything. At their price of course.
Some one PLEASE explain the crafting system to me , do you also craft charms? I keep getting quite a few of those. Thanks
Yeah for some reason mobs won't attack me in single player anymore, I can't attack goblins. I'm pretty sure my game got messed up. I can only grind in multiplayer I guess :/
I just deleted it, won't be bothering to reinstall it or any other future GL "social" experiments. It's not the freemium, per se, I can live with the general concept of how this game was done. Nor even the lazy arena based design, I did, after all, leave DH3 on my device for some months and this is the same thing with more bells and whistles. It's that it is yet another "social" game from Gameloft I've installed that shipped with utterly borked online features. Potion clock hasn't budged when outside the game since right after GL hotfixed the timer clock. Haven't actually been able to send gifts since the first day, haven't been able to receive gifts ever (even though I get push notifications telling me I have received a gift), and haven't even been able to see anything in GL Live since sometime since around when the potion clock stopped working. I stuck it out for a few days, even defending the general design, but when, once again, the only clearly broken things are "coincidentally" the very things that allow us to play the game without paying, I have to assume that either this is 100% intentional or emblematic of complete and utter incompetence and indifference. You can't keep shipping wannabe faux AAA iOS titles that depend on server interaction if you're not going to fix GL Live or use an alternative that does work like GC. DH3 was broken for over 2 solid months - that I waited at all for you to fix the keys was only because I'd been dumb enough to spend $5 on it early on. By the time the gifting started working for me nobody much was playing any more. The My Little Pony game always told me I had no neighbors even though I could see dozens in the GL Live portion of the app. Monster Life, which I was playing solely because my kids, would never show them even though we were all added to each other's friend's list. Had similar issues with Order & Chaos for a while, ditto for Heroes of Order & Chaos for my brief time with it. Whatever the space and medieval themed freemiums were called, more of the same crap. Gameloft simply has shown itself incapable of operating any game that depends upon even the most modest of online features.
