When is it no longer worth investing in banks and statues? Hm. I'm on day 725 with banks at level 4107, and statues at 1997. If I buy another bank at 23,662,368 I get 45,700 more day...at which rate, it would take 518 days to make up for the cost of the bank! So...that's a dumb idea. I'm better off putting on a light dungeon, all skills on my banker, and running 30 or 40 days and then making a buy for hp and regen. I'm just wondering at what point it would be a good idea to stop forging banks and statues, given a run of, you know, 1000+ days. EDIT: I've actually worked (geeked) this out in a spreadsheet If you want to use it to check things out; you can edit the green cells and everything else will adapt—and show you if its worth upgrading still.
If you jump a difficulty level to soon and can't reach day 100 (or even day 2) do you lose your legacy weapon and need to build a new one? Can you save your game and try out rebirth and day 1 of higher difficulty, or does rebirth auto-save?
Just rebirth any time you want. You select weapons to keep each time. They will lose levels etc but you get to keep what you selected (I assume you have shop perk to keep weapons).
So far it looks like after day 700 you shouldn't buy any more banks or statues...that's assuming you're going to end around day 1100.
What is the strategy of what skills to focus on with Nameless? Also, does rage have a base effect, or is it only a status modified by skills? For example, Nameless gets attack speed while raged by skill, but is there any other effect?
Retrieve (skill) does not work. The description is "each time an enemy dies, x health is restored to the dungeon" but it is never restored. It is only available for awakened Snake. FYI I think Gamecoaster should check out every other skill for issues like this + do some skill reforms, especially on anti magic/armor, basic training, shot, reload...etc
LV 20 achievements grind So with getting the *insert mob here* to lv 20 achievements, I have been doing normal, pushing to day 100 to get the 401 stones (while also doing the tower on hard to get and sell accessories) but only after I managed to get Auto battle, Auto sell (and equip), Auto skills, and Auto research. 2x speed is also nice to have just to get it done faster. I found it to be quite quick to get the first batch done and while i was stocking up on stones, I got eye, spirit, star and necro. Im working on getting the 2k though. I found this to be quick, especially while at work since i can just plug my phone in and work on paperwork till i need to go to the tower before the 20 day increments. On a side note, Im trying to look at a good team set up. Obviously Mr.eye will be in. Im thinking Necro for the lifedrain ability. I wouldn't mind having snake for another DPS but im unsure. I only have nameless, Mr Blade and the demon from the hellstore left to get. Also. Is anyone working on a guide for this game? I wouldnt mind taking a look at it and seeing what people have started to come up with
I'm struggling to get to 100 days with Nameless (promoted x10) in my first endless run. I lose to any of the armored bosses. Have to say, I don't think Nameless is very good pre-awakening, unless you maybe have a lot of points in fire's +crit damaged while enraged skill. Without that, it seems like he doesn't have as much damage as say Snake. I'm not sure what I need to do to make this less of a struggle. Not sure I'll have the rubies for a second legacy weapon, and I don't have a lot of rebirth stones or medals either. May need to go back down to Insane for a run...?
@Zach: There's a gamepedia page. But if you are looking for a guide, I'd recommend you skim through the thread—at the least, go back through the last 5-10 pages. We've covered so much ground... Also, you really must have orc or ogre in your party—the builder skill is essential. Orc is stronger against bosses and has better defense skills, imo. Ogre is better for mass attacks (once you get his legendary necklace). Once you have hell store bonuses, its fun to run with both of them benefitting from huge weapon bonuses. Wraith will increase your bank income by 175%, and he is also powerful. If you don't have eye, I'd go for mage to get the scientist bonus though. With more income you can invest more in auto-regen...until you have death's legendaries maxed out and awakened, his healing isn't that great. @JohnGaltMotor: I've sent him some notes through his facebook change and he has applied them in updates, maybe you can explain to him what you see happening. @ArtNJ: Have you looked at your weapon mods? Make sure you mod when you have a blacksmith in your party (Ogre will also reduce the price a lot with the miner skill). You can try modding ant-armor into more of the weapons. Also, make sure you have at least 2 magic weapons being used in your party. If nameless is your main, consider using swords over daggers...they'll do 25 vs 15% damage to magic enemies, and if you add an anti-magic mod to that it can be a big difference.
Looks like in patch few hours ago eye got boost to some skills. I think one with 50 and 80 cap was increased to 100.
How do you unlock a new element when you have already unlocked one? I see you can go far in the tree and do it for "free" but I take it there is another way? Also, why is the promotion screen set up the way it is? There are lock symbols that don't go away as you promote. The things you unlock are labelled +20, +40 etc, when the promotion levels are +1, +2, etc. And finally there doesnt seem to be any reason to ever pay rebirth tokens to unpromote -- if anything, it should give you a partial refund to unpromote, not pay a lot extra for no apparent reason. Am I missing something?
Who should I focus on buying first Hi all, Just a quick question about above? I am also investing rebirth stones into enhancement and research first as I feel its important to get those upgrades first. Is that correct? Many thanks!
Something like +10% in research is helpful, but not necessarily required, to get the 35 researches in 200 days achievement, which gives an amazing ring reward. However, much more important to have slime in your party, and select scientist as his preferred skill right away. You then keep track of how things are going, and do prioritize research, and you'll get the sic ring. Of course, if you spent more stones than that, they are hardly wasted, just maybe not the best use right away. And upgrade to daily enhancements is also helpful and can't be wasted in the long run. In the short run, unlocking 2x speed for 500 stones is *wonderful* for the mid to end levels in your first couple runs, and I highly recommend it. Unlocking auto-shoot for another 500 stones is totally *not* required, but definitely will help you grind a bit better and help do the trial that requires you to focus on balancing the scale. This can be skipped a bit, but is valuable. I did not see much difference in the dramatic sounding "make them all come out at once" upgrade which is another 500 stones - can also be skipped to go to higher difficulties faster. You do *need* a decent chunk of rebirth stones in damage-related upgrades -say 2000 stones - if you want to try endless difficulty with only one legacy weapon with level 11 mods. (This is your first buy with rubies, the legacy weapon option). I bought Nameless, and attempted Endless difficulty without enough damage upgrades, and had to quit around day 120. That is OK - just getting to day 100 in endless gives VERY nice achievement rewards - but in retrospect I bought a new character too soon. Snake is pretty good as a main, and it would be a lot more productive to get to Endless quicker with more points in damage-related rebirth options. 3000+ points in damage-related skills, plus a legacy weapon with level 11 mods, and you should do pretty well in Endless, get a ton of stones, and can buy a character for your next run.
So going My eye, Wriath, Oger, Skeleton (for bounty) and something to lessen mutation would be the way to go? Im just at the in between of hard and the next one up
