My main in current run is a skeleton, which has ammo of 1. Given that he has 1 ammo, does attack speed do anything? Also, is there a wiki? (And yes, I will read up on the posts here when I have a chance, thanks!)
Click settings in game and there is visit wiki button. From FB: "Random Name Will bouncer and penetration work with the dimension and elemental attacks? Or lasers and lightning? I'm finding the two bounty hunters kind of useless outside of that one skill. GameCoaster It does not affect any of them. 'Bounty hunter' will be improved in the future." Also can someone answer my earlier question? Is it better to focus on repeatable ATK or balance it between def and atk?
Do you only ever get 3 resets for elemental dungeons? Or can you buy new resets after using the free ones? ntice, How bad is the Nameless nerf? I'm on iOS and we don't have the patch yet. I've just got to the point where I can do 1000 days in Hell VII using Nameless as my main. Am I going to get set back a lot after the nerf?
I guess it's too early to say, because they had some damage calculation issues. From the GameCoaster Facebook page: "There was a problem with damage calculation formula, and it was corrected. We have fixed a critical bug, so we'd like to update it directly in the store as soon as possible. The following characters are affected: Sunstar Nameless Mr. Blade Ms. Love Fire Spirit Water Spirit Nature Spirit Light Spirit Dark Spirit"
I haven't tested to see if the second patch fixed the issue with Nameless. Before the initial release, I was able to get to 1000 in Hell VIII with nameless, after the update, I was having issues with Hell VII around day 950. As for elementals, I was able to clear Hell VII to day 1000. I'm going to try Hell VIII tonight but I doesn't look promising based on what I saw during Hell VII run. I know someone who is doing a bit of a deeper dive with the comparisons of Eye, Love and elementals so will see what he thinks as well.
So I did a little more testing to confirm the effects of Flame Shield (fire dungeon talent)... At 10 points in the talent, it provides up to 60% damage reduction. To get the full amount, your party's cumulative crit chance only needs to reach 500%. With no crit from weapon mods, talents, or party skills, a leveled up party has 405% already. So anyone who can afford this talent will get the maximum value pretty much without trying. In my opinion, that makes this one of the strongest defensive talents from any element and probably worth investing in after spending ~30 points in DPS talents from the Fire tree.
On the topic of damage reduction, what is you guys' opinion on the defensive jewelry? Ring MK-1 (Tower Drop - can get several) +200 Dungeon Health +10% Evade Chance +10% Damage Reduction Necklace MK-41 (Achievement) +250 Dungeon Health +15% Evade Chance I tend to switch into these pieces for the very last push in a run. I just got my 3rd MK-1, and I think I would equip up to 4 of those - just not on my main. What do you guys think?
I only use them for tower floors 28 and 29, since my main can't attack and, depending on the floor, my magical/physical attackers can't attack. Outside of that, the legendary accessories seem to do more for my team. A good way to test it out is with endless waves though. Maybe with your flame shield at 10, that extra damage reduction and evasion is worth it. Going defensive like that does make for longer battles though, and being this game demands a looooooot of runs, I'll lean towards faster kills. If I had a character who wasn't doing much damage/carrying their weight I might consider putting a ring on them, but that's not really an issue with my current party. Maybe putting one on a bounty hunter if I'm struggling, but even then, I'd rather at that point switch out my bounty hunter for a stronger character. At that point, I'll make my money from the light dungeons and putting my all skills necklace on my bankerit can be an extra 3-5 million when you have 4000+ banks. Seems like it will be a longer wait for the update to hit iOS, then. How significant is the improvement in hell rewards?
I see the update is out on iOS, but I'm afraid to install it. Increased rewards in hell difficulties, yes, but is it the version where some characters are broken? Going backwards a few steps isn't too appealing... If anyone already has it, feel free to report the details about the increased rewards, etc.
@Benholio: I put the update on my ipad to see what it was looking like, but it was hard to compare because I was on day 50 on one device and day 1070 on the other...I wasn't expecting the update to hit so soon. Anyway, here's some notes: •Research plan is awesome. It takes a few minutes to get your plan set up, but this is one streamliner •Hell 5 rewards have gone from about 8½ mil to 10½ mil. So that's a pretty solid bump. Can't speak to the rubies yet. The medals appear to be the same. •Mr. Blade's continuous slash now goes from 86 levels to 160, with 100% damage each slash...which is a nice bump. He's fierce again! •Death strike seems a little bit lower, but weapons of progress higher to 400%—I think it maxed out at 200% before. This would mean Ogre getting more of a bump than Orc. •Giant fireball does more damage now, I think 200% when it maxes out •Singular strength for spirits goes from 200 to 400% damage for each spirit in the party •Nameless' dark penetrations goes from 15 max to 13 max •Light elemental now has scientist skill! •assassinate now does up to 2500% damage (used to be 2000%) •Bone party is stronger, looks like it will do about 110 bones at 1300% dps each when it is maxed Also, if you have FX turned off you just see enemies getting mowed down, no projectiles at all. Maybe this will help with battery life and heat. With light elemental having scientist, that means you can run with 4 spirits at the start, with a bounty hunter on the side. Which is great, since part of their strength is in being together. I'd say these changes are definitely worth it. If you normally run nameless, and find him really nerfed, I would just reset his promotions and run with blade for now. The increase in rebirth stones are worth it. @ArtNJ: Reload speed is much more important for skeleton, but attack speed figures in there as well. I think the best way to get a sense of that is to compare how a reload or asp mod effect his damage. I can say that when I've had mutations which lower by attack speed, I remembered him firing more slowly.
Thanks for all of the info! I think I'll get my in-progress runs to 1000 and then install the update before reincarnating. I'm still weary about Nameless possibly being bugged, but oh well. Last time I tried blade he couldn't get past day 1 of my current difficulty. The research plan sounds awesome.
Couple more questions (thanks guys!): 1. If multiple characters have skills such as bounty hunter, do the %s stack? 2. After purchasing the "save 8 weapons for next run" bonus, the weapons go back to level 1 (or higher with a purchase) but do they keep their mods? 3. Is it possible to get over 100% for weapon quality if you have multiple blacksmith bonuses? I haven't seen this yet, but I thought I saw a post on it a while back.
1. Only highest level works (It's in guide on the wiki http://dungeondefense.gamepedia.com/How_To_Play_Guide_For_Dungeon_Defense ) 2. All you keep is weapon and mods on it. Levels are lost but thats why we have shop perk +weapon level after rebirth (but don't take it until you have +character level and for best result -weapon requirements or you wont be able to use that weapon after rebirth).
Elemental Dungeons Hi all, Just want to ask a quick question as it appears that this is a quite active thread. I chose the Fire Elemental Dungeon, is there any way to activate the others?
Aside from the IAP, you have to unlock the Fire Elemental to open the other elements. It takes a good while...
I'm on my second run, doing hard. Thinking of stopping at 500 after getting the achievements. Does the pace of getting rubies increase if you push all the way to 1000, get all the associated levels and enhancements, and then tackle the tower? My thinking is that I'd rather go to 1000 when I have auto sell and auto enchant, but I really do need them rubies. Also, if you awaken a character, does it start awakened on your next run if it is your main in that run?
Nope, you have to meet the requirements and re-awaken it each game. Unless you buy the ruby perk that makes a character permanently awakened.
After the last update, the dev posted on his FB page: "There was a problem with damage calculation formula, and it was corrected. We have fixed a critical bug, so we'd like to update it directly in the store as soon as possible. The following characters are affected:" Sunstar / Nameless / Mr. Blade / Ms. Love / the 5 spirits I'm not sure what kind of changes that mean are ahead, but Mr. Blade is really powerful again. Well, I also beefed up my mains damage in the hell store, so maybe there's that. I'm just two runs away from unlocking all the spirits, so I don't see myself going back to any other characters except the skeleton for bounty hunter—that way can keep the same bow and have less weapons to mod and keep track of. It seems like the spirits are more expensive to promote now, too. I think it used to be 210 for their first promotion, and now its 600, which is almost 3 times as much as nameless/eye/blade. And I think love is 240 or 310 or something for her 1st. It makes sense that they would be more difficult to promote though. —also, I take back what I said about hell 6 medals: it is much better than hell 5. It's not so big a deal when you compare the level 30 boss rewards, but all of them together make for a significant increase. Is the earth spirits healing enough to counteract the damage you take for dark's special? Does dark's special take more life at a higher level, or does that rate go down? Wondering if the party plan I have in mind will really work.
