lol.. everyone going nuts over 'free content' should note that the main content of 2nd wave comes in the form of an IAP!

I am still looking forward to the update though..there aren't any new maps added right? =/

I heard it runs really poor on iPod 4G and iPhone 4 so I didnt puchase the game, if they have improved the performance on iPhone 4 I will be purchasing this game.

The increased level cap will be really nice. I'm also curious what the "more" entails.

This is fantastic news! I may be the minority, but DD:FW is one of my all-time favourite iPad games! Can't wait for tomorrow (or tonight if it kicks in at midnight)..

Are characters saved on the device or remotely? If I bought this for my iPhone and PC, would I have access to the same characters, or would I have to level them up separately?

Have my fingers crossed that this will be good. It was a joke when they released the original. Ran like absolute crap. I'll be giving it a go anyway as it's a free update.
    What's the new content?

Awesome to hear this game seems to be getting such a large update. I had this on my 3G S and it was difficult to play, so hopefully this will be resolved with an updated interface and my 4S.

Looking forward to firing this back up. If its good, I'll definitely scoop up the IAP Arena.

They're still saved locally. When/if we get the chance we'd love to implement iCloud though!

    2. Level cap increased to 80
    3. Some optimization for antiquated devices
    4. IAP for main update content : pvp arena

There are new items. There is also a new level, Hall of Doom, included in the Arena IAP :).

Basically it is just stuff that needed doing to the game ages ago which for some reason wasn't.
    Added IAP
Called it something different to try to generate some excitement.
All this fuss for a pretty standard update for an iOS game nowadays. It was made to sound like there was IAP AND new content.
Oh well, still not putting this back on my device.

Can't decide between Ipad2 and 360 Xbox live to play this on.

If the saves were online so we could have just one profile and set of characters, I would almost certainly be buying the iOS and Steam versions. Now I have to decide :/

Well the steam version is vastly superior, if you have the computer to run it it is the definite version.
