The PC version is $10, so I don't think the the other versions are more expensive! If you preorder now you even get a discount on that... So price is not an issue (and I don't have any problems paying some realistic amount of money for a good game... I know this is uncommon among iOS gamers ;) )

Reporting in with a 25.2m huntress weapon. But it doesn't mean it's better, it's actually pretty bad compared to my actual weapon. (see pics)

I pre-ordered it for $8.99 USD, plus the console version is on the PS3 and xbox's virtual store.

    I pre-ordered it on Impulse.

I don't feel like reading through 184 pages to see if this has already been discussed.

The game seems to have some frame rate issues on my iPod touch 3rd gen. Anyone else having issues?

The weapon is level 10, not me !
Mana comes easy when you grind for items and that ridiculous weapon.. well.. it's probably gonna be nerfed in the update but it comes from only upgrading elemental damage.

What is the best way to grind, i'm a noob if you couldn't tell :p, I have a squire at level 13 and am trying to get going as I've noticed plenty of people reaching 60 in just a couple days.

personally for me, I started at easy difficulty
    then moved to medium
then you grind at hard on throne room and hall of court
and now I'm starting to grind on insane, which does give much better weapons.

    I have a question:
Where can i find survival mode?
Is it me or what but I just can't find it, and what does it mean by area 1 and area 2 levels?
Yeah Im still a bit nubby at level 39

If you can beat at least 1 wave of Ogre Crush, you can grind exp by completing 1-2 waves (on the hardest difficulty you can clear) and then lose, restart the level, etc. The ogres themselves give a piss poor amount of experience compared to clearing each wave. So even if you could solo the whole thing, it'd still be better to fail after wave 2. If you have a friend who can clear 2 waves on insane with a DPS build, I imagine you could powerleveled from 1-60 in a couple hours (if you were efficient about it).

As for mana grinding, sometimes the price of weapons increases faster than the cost to upgrade them. This leads to situations where you can invest 100k into a weapon and sell it for 1m. Yeah, there was a bit of oversight in this design choice.

When choosing a mission, go to "options", and there you can turn on/off pure strategy or survival.

Hi, i've had this game for a couple of days now and i love it although i have a few questions.

    1. I have the DD on both my iphone 4 and ipad. I noticed that it performs quite terribly on the ipad with very low FPS and lots of stuttering. Performance is smoother on my iphone 4. Is this normal?

    2. This is a universal app and Android users are able to play this game too. Is this a cross-platform game where iOS gamers can play with Android gamers in the same game?

    3. Both my iphone 4 and ipad are registered under the same game centre ID although i have 2 separate characters (one squire the other huntress) on each of them. Will i be able to carry over the characters between my iOS devices?

Hope to get some replies, thanks :)

I'm not certain if DD currently features cross-platform play, but it will eventually feature cross-platform play across ALL devices (including XBLA, PSN and Windows).

Characters will carry over between ALL devices (stored in the cloud) eventually. I cannot say if they currently do, since I still cannot play DD on iOS 4.1.

Ogre Crush is great for leveling and the Huntress is the best for Ogre Crush. Lay a Spike trap with a Gas trap "Right on top" of it and make sure one of these sets are at each spawn gate... and you basically have the game on easy mode.

... and afterwards if you want to level your other characters... switch to your huntress... lay those traps... and then switch your character back to the character you are trying to level before activating the round. I got all 4 of my characters to level 60 with only a few hours with each guy.

  17. 2. Currently the game is not cross-platform yet but with the upcoming patch (v1.1) for the iOS, there will be cross-platform play available between Android and iOS users . There would not be cross-platform for the xbox title .

Nope, only Windows, Android, and iOS are cross-platform. I hear Android and iOS will be able to play with each other in an update planned soon, but not yet.
