Also agreed. It will all be ok sometime soon when gamespy arrives shit I couldnt joIn leaf. Damnit. Here's a tip to all hosts. DO NOT AUTOMATCH! it takes forever and never works.
I think about 60 pages of this thread are people trying to get into a game together, lol. I soloed last night for a couple of hours and got some great gear from playing insane on the first two levels. Working on getting some achievements now. Can't wait for GameSpy!
Oh yes! I Can't wait for this patch, I am holding out on the online play until they did something about that. Shame that Apple's GameCenter is causing so much trouble. I'm looking around the web for some confirmation or statement from Apple about how hard they are working on GameCenter, but I see nothing. If the issues everyone is having with Dungeon Defenders online is purely related to GameCenter, this is really bad for Apple. Other developers are going to ignore GameCenter and look for an alternative if it's going to break their games and add negatives to a game review. I REALLY want to play this game online, even though I'm having a blast playing solo. Only issue is on my iPod Touch, the battery only lasts for about 1 full session, and plugged in I have to sit right next to the wall outlet because the cord won't reach anywhere comfortable...lol. All the real issues I have with this game, seem to be Apple related.... [kinda off topic] Watching the video of the upcoming cross-platform play, has made me VERY curious about those Acer tablets with the Integra2 chips. I'm SOOO buying one of these over an iPad, for very obvious reasons - expandable storage, even more powerful graphics, USB support, Flash support, not tied to a carrier, less expensive and more functionality! Unless the iPad2 has USB support, SD Card support, double the memory, and more internal storage or a cheaper price point, Apple may have lost me for future purchases. Especially since big games like Dungeon Defenders seem to be ported/released to Android just the same...
I dropped from leaf's game.. sigh. sorry for the initially crap fest. It was both latency and framerate causing me to do everything slowly.
its another online matchmaking service similar to Apple's Game Center which will be included in the 1.1 update for this game which will be coming out in January. Basically we are all waiting in hopes that Gamespy can't possibly be worse than GameCenter for Matchmaking online. Here is some more info about the update http://www.forums.trendyent.com/showthread.php?316-Confirmed-Changes-for-Dungeon-Defenders-First-Wave-Patch-1!-(ETA-Jan-2-2011)
well EA uses gamespy. Borderlands uses gamespy. I don't have a problem with gamespy, and it works fine.
*Adding GameSpy for multi-platform iOS-Android gameplay! And PC gameplay with Dungeon Defenders when that product launches. GameSpy supports Private Matches, Game Naming, Game Browsing, and an array of search filters. *GameCenter support for private matches, and fixes for Inviting HA! GameCenter will be almost obsolete, I suppose it's mostly just for the achievements and leaderboards now. Bleugh.
thanks for the reply too bad the update is in January cause i really wanted to try this game out it looks great
Araziza, add me on GameCenter... My username is Javahawk. I have a full set of level 10 upgraded godly monk gear just for you. Cheers!
Might be able to work something out although I don't know if I'll even have any normal gear after that haha.
