Now I know that all these issues won't be there on consoles but I hope that doesn't mean they'll just forget fixing this one and adding DLC and features and makings this one the masterpiece it could be.
That's true but you have the power of your review being read about everyone no matter what. It's sad that some people who blindly listen to what you say won't hear about all the details and goodies this game has and just about a control scheme that I am completely fine with. :/
Hodapp, in the review its mentioned that the reviewer didn't like the dpad, which control method would have you preferred?
That's the thing, I'm not really sure there is a control scheme that would work well with a game of this complexity on the touchscreen-based iOS platform. I like the game for what it is, and I see a ton of potential here, but I think we're going to have to wait for the game to be played with a physical controller to realize that potential. There's a clear distinction between games that are great iOS games, and great games that have been made to run on iOS... Which is definitely the case of Dungeon Defenders as I see it. The D-pad and explosion of buttons is based out of necessity of allowing players to access all of the game's functions, which is why I agree with Brad's conclusion of not really being sure if this is something that can be fixed.
For those curious, we shot a video this morning with Dungeon Defenders iOS playing with Android and PC players in the same game! Hope you enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktthBQpJS4s
That's excellent, jawahawk! I'm getting interested in the PSN version. Sorry for going slightly offtopic, but considering that familiars are a pre-order bonus for the PC, how would it work for the PSN? How much is it going to cost for PSN and when is the release planned?
Very cool video...I even heard PVP mentioned in DD:Arena? Way cool! So people on iPhone/Ipad can play against each other on PC/other tablets? Just not against consoles?
Ha ok I hadn't understood. Ok you made your best, you didn't enjoyed and get bored by the flaws, that's your right and people should stop whining about that. They think different like I do too, that's fine, but no need of accusing someone not have the "right" taste and have done the "wrong" review, there's no "right" taste.
hey cool! i just randomly entered your game my conn is laggy though for some reason... think i just timed out edit: yep i just timed out. booo.
This game is becoming epic! I must go level up my characters now! Very curious about these familiars though. I don't believe I've seen them yet in any videos.
