Can someone explain to me what's the point of charging the Mage's attack? And also his knockback attack (secondary). It seems like it is much more effective just by spamming the buttons. I restarted another new Mage this time going straight for Tower stats. Man, what a difference it makes for soloing.
Well so far my charged attack does about 54 points of damage, a string of attacks are doing 11 each second (or half a second?). It takes a while to charge... it isn't adding up for me. Perhaps I am doing it wrong? How do I know when he's done charging completely? Is it when the Mage raises his staff just a little bit? It's kind of hard to tell.
Hey so i just bought the game on my iPad 4.2.1 jailbroken... And it keeps crashing. I resprang my springboard... But it only shows the splashscreen of the game, signs me into game center, and crashes... Anyone having this problem? Does this only happen to jailbroken devices??? I really need help Btw splashscreen being just the logo saying "Dungeon Defenders" ... Nvm got it to work by restarting... just sucks if i have to do that alot since im tethered
I'm getting a feel for the game in single player and am rather impressed, this is my kind of game. Looking forward to getting to grips, levelling up and getting online. Really liking what I've seen/done so far. Wasn't going to buy it - really glad I did
Okay so I bought the game and tried to sit through the tutorial but either I was just really, really tired when I tried playing or it is the worst tutorial I've ever sat through. Not only is all the crap on screen covering the whole screen but I was so confused after a couple minutes of the tutorial that I just shut it off .. which is a shame because the game sounds awesome. Is there something else that could explain this damn game better than it can?
It was a good game, except midway through when the ogre came out, my phone died. I was pretty annoyed with that :/
Can someone confirm this? I'm really looking forward to this game, and at $3, it's an absolute steal! Even so, it's not worth losing iDOS, SBsettings, gb4phone, etc though.
Seriously, if you just go through the tutorial and deal with the current bugs for now, you will still learn some important things. Figuring out the rest takes only another 15-20 minutes if you are an avid game player. It's not rocket science. I do agree as does everyone else it has some hiccups, but I actually enjoyed it. The game is really incredibly fun and worth the hassle. I usually never deal with bs, but this game is special.
The tutorial is terribly cluttered, and buttons on iPad could be smaller but I agree, sitting through it is worth it and once you figure it out its fine. Take your time and retry the tutorial and you should be fine
Trendy guys: besides hoping you will allow us to change camera views while dead and waiting 10 seconds to respawn both in single player campaign and mutliplayer, could you possibly think about allowing users to have free camera view while awaiting to join an already started online game? I find the view to be very restricting.
Excellent news. You'll have my money when that happens (unless a jailbreak for iOS 4.2 arrives before that, in which you'll have my money as soon as that happens ).
Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I would like to really see a touch the screen and glide finger across screen to rotate the camera angle versus having to touch the circular arrows on the right side to move it. That is my only 1 gripe with the game, other then that It's a must buy Edit* forgot my other gripe which is the text window staying open when your doing the tutorial.
You don't. Banked mana becomes a currency for upgrading armor and weapons. It's a risk vs rewards system during gameplay. Example: You think you're a hotshot and breezing through a campaign. You don't possible need all that mana so you bank it to upgrade your stats later. Well crap, wave 7/7 comes and here comes a huge ogre and you can't heal yourself because you don't have enough mana. You should have saved that mana to heal yourself. Risk vs Rewards All is not lost however because that banked mana can be used to upgrade your equipment to help take down that ogre....in round 2
