Okay guys, A few notes about the next update, and various game things in DD:FW... We will improve the translations in the next update. Most of us here at the office only speak english, so we couldn't verify the translations. We'll try our best. You'll see a dramatic framerate improvement in 4 player games with the first update. Our media is going through a complete overhaul as we speak. To upgrade weapons, you'll need to go to the FORGE, there is one located in every map. During the build phase, go to your inventory, select your weapon/armor, and on the bottom right of the screen you'll see a button that says INVEST. That's where it's useful to have some banked mana. Banked mana can be gained by manually putting mana in the forge during build phases or by "selling" equipment. So it's good to pickup random equipment because each item generates a mana value according to how good the item is. Thanks guys, it's been really fun playing with you over the course of the last day! -Javahawk
Thanks for your input, we will take this into serious consideration with first priority on this topic to fix the translations.
I am just glad to see Trendy Ent coming here supporting this awesome game. I am pretty sure that once the issues are taken care of, this is one game everyone should have on their device.
Thanks! That is very good to hear. Looking forward to it. The translation is so bad that you have to start from scratch though. It cannot be fixed by simply swapping a couple of words (let alone grammar and spelling).
I don't think it should be possible. It's a risk vs rewards system. Do you want to upgrade items or do you want to save that mana for the battle?
Exactly, that's why it is the way it us. Otherwise the game would be way to easy. Especially on earlier waves.
i tried so hard to like this game but I lost interest and patience during the tutorial. Maybe it's because I'm 31 with a wife and 2 kids but I just don't have the time or patience to learn and a lot was going on for such a small screen. Definately iPad is a better device for this game. Might try it again when I get an iPad but I think the game is already ruined for me.
The game is pretty deep, if you read the entire thread you'll see that a lot of people hated the tutorial but once they got past it, the game really started to shine. If you read the reviews from websites, this is not a casual friendly game.
I'm Mrdutchie on GC I tried it 3x, and can't beat the fat Ogre.. he kills me everytime. it's getting annoying, to spend everytime an 45 minutes and have to start all over. oohh... and I am playin the EASY mode.. WTH?
Dungeon Defenders: First Wave got almost a perfect score.....in Korea. But we know how crazy those Koreans are with Star Craft and their RTS's. http://www.iappgame.com/bbs/board.php?bo_table=gamereview&wr_id=76
Haha same here, I'm 22 with a wife and two kids. I don't have time to stare at a cluttered screen and try to guess what button lies below the over-sized tutorial text. I found myself getting VERY angry every time a new tutorial message would pop up, it was completely ridiculous. However, once I DID get all the way through the tutorials (which wasn't easy with my 19 month old daughter screaming at my feet), I actually started to enjoy the game a lot. Turns out, the overbearing tutorial and bad camera are the games only REALLY bad flaws, otherwise it's a LOT of fun to play! I've been playing it a lot all day, even more than Aralon actually. Just thought everyone should know that if you get through the tutorial, the game is pretty great.
What zerosaid ^. (well not the wife and kids part ) One thing though. Why do I have to tilt my phone backwards to see my items/stats? Only really thing that bugs me (besides the rare dc)
This game is awesome, but I almost didn't make it through the tutorial due to huge frustration, I had really no idea what was going on in the tutorial but I figured out what all the buttons do and stuff and finally after the tutorial ended I started really liking it, it's awesome!
