In my opinion, they should have just optimized the game the way it was intended to be played for the proper hardware. I don't think about graphical settings when I am playing on the PS3.
well, controls sux, especially the camera. there is also one annoying thing with ui, pickup and swap buttons are close to each other, very easy to swap your good equipment with some random stuff.
The 4.0 update was awesome to me, and it ran so much better on my iPad through all of the waves of a map. Sure, there was occasional choppiness when things got really hectic and crazy, but it would go away momentarily rather than staying that way post-4.0. Now 5.0 is supposedly has memory improvements for the iPad? Awesome. I haven't had a chance to try more than one wave yet in 5.0 to see if I notice anything performance-wise, but you Trendy guys are pretty awesome with releasing all of these free content updates. This game has really fleshed out to be one of my favorite, if not the favorite, iPad game. I need to beat the Royal Gardens so I can check out the new campaign, and save up more mana for a cooler pet. I still don't know what Animii are...
What's the deal with the people that play this game?! People "kick" so fast it'll make your head spin, if your heads not spinning then it makes you not want to even play! I can totally take down insane camaingns. you haven't even seen my weapon skills or my max familiar! How dare you people "kick" so fast. You guys need to learn a little thing called edict. I'm just pissed because the last 3 games I got kicked before I had a chance to fight! See my skills first, give me a chance before you are an A-Hole and "Kick" you A-Hole!
Bought the game for a while, just got time to play it recently. Got a stupid question: I'm a mage, I got an ability - Recharge, never know whatis is it? The icon has a number 8 on it, while I using the ability, it keep eating out my mana without doing anything... Thx
another dump question: I read some old post to do power leveling at Ogre Rushed challenge, I did it in easy difficulty, but doesn't seem to add lot of exp. then I try in insance difficulty but die quick at wave 1 so what's other option for power leveling. I'm a mage at lvl16.
Im pretty sure they nerfed ogre crush in the new update as it was too easy to get to max level. I leveled to 70 by just doing the campaign but some people say Wizadry is good for exp.
So glad I managed to get two of my characters to 60 before they nuked Ogre Crush (My level 12 characters still have lvl 10 godlies too )
one of the online games i have joined was really cool, there were dozens of good high level stuff, i think only one wave gave me about 60 thousand of mana. all other games are usually just meh, always only first level equipment. so the question it, what influences the equipment drops?
Ah Wizardry! challenge is too hard imho, I never got it to work. Zippy Terror Insane challenge is 120,000 xp per person in just over 9 minutes with a 3 person team that knows what to do. Minimum levels to run it will be around 30-50, depending on gear. Its considered very easy, you just need someone to show you where to stand. One person, preferably a squire using block ability, body blocks the door - the goblins come out and blow up on him. Two ranged people stand on either side of the other crystal and shoot the guys that come out from the sides. Zero towers are to be built to get the xp bonus. It takes some practice to get a perfect run (more bonus xp if crystal not damaged), but its really easy to do. Raining Goblins Insane challenge is a maximum of 88,000 xp in 9:45, but is very difficult to solo. I managed a perfect run with a 55ish apprentice *after* farming enough mana to buy and level a pet to level 15. Not sure if a huntress could pull it off, it might be possible. Loot is lousy, especially for Goblins. This isnt for loot. People in the know are doing Zippy.
Map & level. The final map on hard has very very good loot and is pretty easy if you know what to do.
i can beat maps before Royal Gardens on hard without many problems, but Royal Gardens even on easy is so hard, the last wave is so huge and these bomber monsters just destroy any defense or towers. any tips maybe?
I always found the wyverns were the problem, not sure why you are having such problems with the kobolds. How many points in tower health? What class(es) are you using? I'm guessing apprentice or squire, since kobolds are nothing special against traps. If using apprentice, if you have a huntress or monk you could add some traps/auras to help your apprentice towers. I did do it with just apprentice towers, but using traps could make it easier. If apprentice, what towers are you using? Remember, flame towers have better range than magic missile towers and the best damager per cost (better then deadly striker too), but some monsters are fire immune, so you need a well designed mix!
thanks for the answer! i have 41 level Apprentice. good pet and gear too. towers stats +32 health, +71 damage, +49 range, +78 rate. i have tried many different combinations, the best working setup so far is with only deadly strikers and blocks. but at some point there are dozens of kobolts and they just spam magic blocks and one of the crystal. maybe if the game would not be so laggy at this point, i could deal with them with my hero, but the game is like slideshow.
I used MM towers as blockers in some places for this map, for example in the lower grassy area with the colums, stick a MM tower between each set of columns and monsters cant get through to the crystal. Place 1 flame tower on each of the far sides of that area facing in, and you have a blocked off kill zone. Your tower health is low. Remember, there is diminishing returns after 50 points (and again after 100) so there is no reason for +71 damage and +32 health (50/50 would make more sense). Deadly strikers have very low health and low fire rate, I dont really think you can build too many on this map, you'll get overwhelmed.
