Yes well the ipad aint got 512mb ram and has a better resolution, although not much better. So textures will probaly be same. But dungeon defenders has cartoony graphics so i think it wont matter that much.
Wow this looks fantastic, hopefully most of the content we are seeing on the first page make it into the iPhone version.
That doesen't really make sense unless DD uses alot of CPU power, because the iPod 3 & 4 have the same GPU and ammount of RAM (Yes, if you didn't know this yet, the iPod Touch 4 doesen't have 512 mb ram like the iPhone 4.), but with 4x the Pixels (2x in each direction) it should actually run slower (not alot, probably not noticably, and anyway, I'm just guessing, I haven't played the game yet of course. CAN'T WAIT! )
I'm gonna say this for all the people who dont know already(theres alot!) Differences between iOS and Console iOS and console will have the exact same graphics, weapons, enemies, bosses, and characters. Console will have 12 maps while iOS will have 8 and consiole will have much more enemies on screen. That is all. Hope everyone knows now.
PMasher, thanks for being so responsive over here! Another question: On the TE forums, it is mentioned that the analog controls are for more serious gamers, while the point to move controls are for the more casual gamers. Could you (and anyone else who'd like to) expound on this a little. Also, which control scheme do most of you devs prefer, and why? Thanks! TA forum members: the devs on TE's forums posted this preview from Slide to Play: http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/the-next-iphone-game-using-unreal-engine-dungeon-defenders-mobile If you want to rev up hype for the game, spread the word with Twitter or FB
Due to the number of enemies, gameplay and strategy are actually pretty different on console/PC. Also, while they use the same assets, the graphics are much better on console/PC . While some people here prefer touch on the iPad, the majority of us prefer analog. In my opinion, you have much more control in analog mode--though, this could just be because that's the way I normally play games. There are a lot of controls, but once you get used to it you feel as if you have just as much control over the game as you would on console/pc. Also, analog is the default control scheme of the game.
Man I cannot wait for this game! It looks so good. Does anyone know how much it will cost? I didn't see it in the thread. Oh and kudos to the developer for being so involved in the thread.
It's a universal application, so it'll be the same price for all devices and yet still play accordingly for each one.
I cant wait either! but might come out on the 16th when all the other good games come out like Aralon, NOVA 2, Real Racing 2 and etc...
