Thanks for being an active dev in the forums! But yeah definitely been anxiously awaiting this one. Saved my money for this not IB. Speed it up apple!!
And if TrendyEnt is just going to drop it like it's hot whenever apple approves it then at least we won't be waiting up until late to get it like the marathon last night.
Yes i have questions. 1) is the game limited to online only or is there a single player game? 2) how many areas will there be on this ipod/iphone version?
1) Is there a campaign? If so how long would it approximately take to beat it? 2) Does the game have like an endless mode single player or something? 3) Is the game complete in of itself in the single player mode (assuming there is one). 4) If I only got to play it single player would I be missing out a lot on the online stuff (other than the fun of playing with other people of course)?
1. Is the multiplayer over 3g or wifi? 2.Can we see some development pictures? That would be sweet. 3. Do you guys plan on adding anything to it in the future?
1) Online and Off-line play. There is a single-player campaign along with challenge missions. Of course, all of this can be done with up to 3 players online too! Also, it's drop in/drop out play, so as long as you have access to 3G/Wi-Fi you can always play online if you like. 2)There are 9 areas total including the Adventurer's Tavern, but a variety of challenges and difficulty modes which require different strategies and styles of play are available on each map .
I have a few questions PMasher Do i have one hero who I continuously level up and take to new maps , or does my hero get reset each time I play a map ? Can we also play through bluetooth or wifi without going online ? Do we need to use GameCenter ? Does each map have certain heroes that are best suited for it ? Or does it depend how you build your defense and level up your character and play that influences this? Can the people that I play with each choose the same hero or must everyone have a different hero ?
1) It's really hard to estimate because the game is very much about skill. I just spoke to our lead Q/A and he said, "The campaign should take around 12-15 hours if you are new, because you WILL lose." He also said, "Excluding infinite game modes, I would say it'd take about 20-30 hours to complete the campaign and challenges." 2) Yes, there are survival modes, etc. They are a lot of fun . 3) Yes, everything you can play in multiplayer you can play singleplayer... however some challenges/modes may be MUCH harder to beat. It really helps having multiple classes in battle. 4) I'd compare online/offline play with Diablo. You won't be missing out on any content per say if you play by yourself, but there is A LOT of fun to be had with multiplayer strategy, etc. In fact, I'd say it's a large part of the experience. I love planning defenses with other players and then working with them to fend off the enemies/protect the crystals during the combat mode. Also fighting over and sharing loot... now, that's always fun.
1. 3G and Wi-Fi! Works great on both. 2. I'll see if the guys will let me take a picture of them . 3. I can't really speak to this yet... but if the game sells well we have some awesome ideas for you to continue using your characters . Oh... and I'm not talking about the ability to transfer your save over to the PC game when it comes out. Which you can do btw.
How come those "Cut the Rope" updates arrive like instaneously, yet Apple drags their a$$ on this game? Is the online gameplay free? Or is there any kind of fee? Um... The game looks frickin awesome. Can't wait.
1. Yep, persistent heroes. That's the whole point! You can create a bunch of them in the 4 different classes. When the PC version is released, you'll be able to take your character from First Wave and continue playing as them in the PC version. 2. You need to be connected game center, although we may at Game Spy support in the future. I believe the Android version supports local play (and uses GameSpy). 3. No, it depends how you build your towers and fight. Some heroes are harder to play as then others. 4. You can play with any hero you like. For the record, I do not suggest trying to do anything with 4 monks .
Completely free. The textures are worse in the iPad version, but due to the DD art style, in my opinion it's hardly noticeable. Personally, I prefer playing on an iPad.
