Can you also play co-op via bluetooth ? Or plain wifi without Gamecenter, like Call of Duty Zombies ?

Good luck with finals killercow and MrJo

It's funny how almost ANYTHING is more appealing than studying for finals, even doing dishes . . . well, maybe doing dishes . . .

In the Adventurers Tavern on the DD forums, do they have anyone getting mobile DDers together for GC friending once it's released?

The interfaces have changed since then and are now less cluttered. That said, this is a complex, in-depth game with lots of options. It's very much a console game on mobile devices, so there are a lot of controls to learn. However, we believe the UI works quite well and eventually becomes second nature.

    Analog Control Scheme:
The four buttons on the right control alt attack, standard attack, jump, and "rally point" (which calls other players to your location). There is also a button on the bottom which brings up your "action wheel." From this menu you select your character abilities, place/repair/upgrade towers, access your hero info, etc. In the newer UI, there is one button on the right side which allows you to rotate the camera and access the mini-map. Context sensitive buttons appear over loot for you to equip it or store it in your item box.

    Touch Scheme:
This is for more casual players. Instead of using an analog stick you click on the screen to move your character. You can attack by either tapping on enemies or the attack button. The rest of the UI is pretty much the same as previously mentioned, just optimized for touch gameplay.

Unfortunately, it was impossible to include voice chat outside of the trophy room due to device limitations.

The UI is not customizable, but the camera icon is no longer in the updated UI :)!

This was shared on the DD forums, but no dev has confirmed or denied this yet:

Since we know that date to be December 9... it is rather safe to say we will see our much more beloved DD:FW on or after December 10. Probably a few days after that though in order to give Epic the lead they are so obviously seeking."

First, like MrJo said, they prolly cant release it before IB. And then, do we know the submission date for Infinity Blade? Maybe that was submitted before DD? Anyways, if it was submitted in Nov, I'm pretty sure it'll be approved soon and within this month only (unless ofcourse, if it gets rejected for some reason)

A lil OT but just noticed this..

IB will be released on the 9th, basically in less than 24 hours . . . so if what was said in the DD forums is true, DD wont be out till at least Friday, if not, later - but the devs don't expect it to be much later :)

No, it's running on Game Center, so the servers should be fine. While testing, there were some lag spikes during the peak operational times of Game Center, but they were fairly small. 3G and Wi-Fi seem to work just as well in this regard.

And to answer a previous question, yes there is a large single player offline component involving both campaign missions (with story told through graphic novel-esque cut-scenes) and various challenge missions. However, I will say a highlight of this game is playing and strategizing with friends.

PMasher, is it safe to assume the game is being released next Thursday?

I'm not part of the devteam but they've repeatedly said that they will release the game worldwide the instant it's approved. So it should be out BY thursday but it could be out before.

So Trendy Ent isn't part of the cohort of other devs who've decided Thursday's are best, like was mentioned today? I hope not. What makes Thursday so great, besides being just before the weekend/payday?
