I'm also going to delete my comment about the game not giving enough gold per run. It actually really does...with all the bonus levels,etc... I jumped the gun on that one. Sorry Pixeye
The save and quit function doesn't let you continue later. I guess I should have just left it as is, but it would be nice to know exactly what I'm doing when I save and quit. Edit—I take that back, I went to the same dungeon and resumed. I wasted 20 gold on blessings before though! Same thing happens if you bless, choose another character but then go back to the original—they can get blessed again. Not as in extra, but as in pay for something you already have anyway.
I've beat up zombie cow started that run just for farming gold and played like "found key? then stop fighting and go down" style, I finally reached 30th floor with one yellow potion and life under20, attack 4, and no armor. Just depend on luck ,I quaffed potion and hit the cow 6 times or more. when I beat the cow, last life is 4.
Yeah, you end up having more gold than you know what to do with eventually. The game is very well balanced in terms of gold given and difficulty. Yes its kind've tough but be persistent, give that troublesome dungeon a few good tries before assuming it's too hard, you might be surprised, I certainly was. And it sure feels good when you finally beat that certain dungeon.
Pixeye, Not sure if this has been asked/addressed, but can you change the name of the game for the iOS homescreen? I hate seeing the ellipsis, and mine is currently called "Dungelot :..." Possible alternatives: Dungelot DungelotSL Dungelot 3 DSL DunShaLa Angry Cows
An hour in a dungeon and earned over 200 coins, the game force quits as I enter a new floor and I lose the session. Why Dungelot? Why? iPhone 6s+ iOS 9.2.1 I rebooted my device and hoping to avoid this happening again
@Pixeye - I'm still unable to view the cloud save icon or access my save file between my two devices. I posted a screen shot earlier in this thread. Have there been any other reports of this? I'm hoping for a fix, would love to play the same save file across both of my devices.
Usually it's because you forget about the food aspect and on the next floor you get the starvation crash. This will get fixed but in the meantime if you see the word starvation on the screen and don't find any food on that floor go to options and quit the run. You'll save all your gold this way.
Bug: Whenever I use shift with the vampire, it's a crapshoot. Sometimes the 1 damage applies, sometimes it doesn't. HOWEVER: Zombies NEVER take the 1 damage, and if there's no hole to fall through (nice mechanic btw) they move to a diff spot, and are positioned..."above" the tile they're on, in a 2.5 dimension sense, not sure how to explain it. They almost "float" above their new destination, of course with the normal animation, no other visual glitches aside from the positioning. Obviously this makes the spell les ok since the damage doesn't apply, etc etc etc, that's whatever, no huge deal, but the big issue is the floating zombie. All act 1 dungeons, only zombies float, but there's no specific creature type for the damage. Sometimes it applies, sometimes it doesn't. If it's like a thing with the herb "1" markers, then that's fine, but I've kept track of enemy hp mentally before I used the spell this last run before I posted the report, and damage doesn't seem to apply properly to kobolds and beholders.
I second this. Would really love the title to be fixed. And I mentioned earlier the icon has wonky resolution / really jagged.
Are the saves working? I uploaded to iCloud on my iPad and I open it up on my iPhone and there's no download button showing there and when I open the game it's just where I was up to previously bit counting the hours I spent playing on my iPad. I pressed the upload button again in the end seeing if an option might appear but it just said save uploaded so now I'm hoping it hasn't saved over what my iPad has.
Anyone buy the morale item from the mansion and not see the point either? Way it works now...you start the first floor with +1 morale that immediately goes down as soon as you descend. @Pixeye, is this on purpose? A 600 gold boost for the first floor of the dungeon? Or does it make the morale changes last an extra turn, or what?
Ill keep an eye out. I just purchased this. There are definitely some bugs going on, but Pixeye seems committed to fixing them. Although it may not be fair, I think the beta testers didnt do a very good job as many of the bugs are pretty obvious. I quit beta testing because I didnt have the time I thought was required to really provide the developer with feedback to fix it. Still, I think the game is great, and spend at least 30-60 min / day playing.
Hi triwolf, I basically kept taking refugee and getting food, until a veteran shows up who will train the army. After a couple of rounds, start building the fort once you have some turns to spare. Try that. Focus on food.
I was able to get my iCloud save to work. On the iPhone, you have to specifically go into Settings->iCloud->iCloud Drive, make sure it is On, and enable Dungelot: Shattered Land in it. I notice this was off because by default my iCloud drive is off. Hope that helped!
