BUG: a Kobold dungeon boss took my lucky coin as bribe, and ran away, but the exit portal didn't open. This was on the first dungeon in ACT II. update: Even though the portal didn't open, choosing Save&Exit in options saved my progress, upon re-entering the dungeon I was taken immediately to the floor before the boss, yay!
Started out having a lot of fun, but the bugs are now coming too thick and fast for me to make progress. The flytrap mansion upgrade and the send to hell/god's wrath proc together - crash Having unlocked the witch, I try to select her - crash, just can't play with that hero Really great game, but I'll wait until it's a bit more stable!
Oh, you're sh***ing me! Half a tonne of grinding to buy near everything in the mansion, complete the first 15-level strong dungeon, get the tome of knowledge, and the total bugger crashes on the tome of knowledge screen - and it completely disappears. Level now complete, no chuffing stat boost. Balls to that!
We work on the new update as fast as possible. It will contain bug fixes and some visual and mechanic improvements of hero skills. All skills will be based on % of hero attributes. The % will grow as you fill up hero charge bar and drop down when you use skill ( pretty much the same but now skills will become really powerful when you boos up your charge ) Strong items such as artifacts that you don't use and salvage will fill up bar immediately.
(My earlier dumb comments edited out) I agree with another poster also that the spell attacks take too many taps and gets old quick. Maybe you should simply have the attack ready just be selecting it...why make the user push the green button at all? Thanks
I believe you kill every monster you see. If so it nearly impossible to finish any huge dungeon. Yes, we beta tested game.
They did but what usually happens is that the vast majority or "testers" just want a free game. They don't provide meaningful feedback and have little incentive to report anything. Not really the devs fault, more of a wider issue. I suspect it's particularly bad here on TA as you have more fickle and casual players that jump from game to to game in a matter of days. I'm not sure what can be done about it. I personally tried to get a beta key to provide some meaningful feedback as I have lots of experience with RLs, esp hybrids such as this one, but didn't get an invite for whatever reason. Sent multiple PMs/emails etc. Regardless, it was still a day one purchase for me as I'm always looking for a more condensed and tactical roguelike experience, and I had played a bit of the original. Unfortunately I've also ran into a lot of the bugs that have been brought up here in the last couple of days. The further I get the more apparent they become. I agree with some of the posts about balance as well. The constant need to grind in particular does kill a lot of the fun. For the time being I'm probably going to go back and invest more time in Runestone Keeper, which to be frank is a game that ripped a lot from the original Dungelot and to some extent Desktop Dungeons, but in many ways is doing its own thing. It of course has issues with balance and grinding as well, but it's a more mature product at this stage and has a lot less critical bugs. I'm hoping in an update or two a lot of the bugs can be ironed out, as this to me has the potential to be the perfect mobile game, and there's still fun to be had at the moment playing the endless mode.
Not sure if this was already on your bug fix list, but it seems like you should rework the tile generation code a bit. Twice now I had the situation that I still needed the key and only one unexplored tile left. Only thing; that tile was inbetween non-explorable walls (those you place around the arrow shooting skeletons) and a pit (aka hole in the floor). No way for me to tap the last tile, no way to proceed to the next floor.
I can't play act II. I finished all dungeons in act I. Even the zombiecow lair. Played endless mode over 100 floors. Dead wood ist still at 75 %. I can travel to act II but can't enter any dungeon there. Am I missing something?
Yes exactly. There is nothing really revolutionary about ios 9 that makes me want to upgrade to it. And removing file access was a HUGE step back and imo probably pushed many into jailbreaking. Accessing your files manually is more reliable than cloud saving. In any case, I noticed in the latest update the devs were kind enough to reduce the iOS requirement so I purchased it immediately. Thank you! It's amazingly fun but I would love to get the bugs fixed. Got 1 crash in my first hour of play on the iPhone 6.
I really wish I'd read that I need most items in the mansion before taking on the harder levels. I've finished the easier levels and now have only the more difficult levels to contend with. I go through, collect everything I can, sell it and try to avoid fighting as much as possible so I can collect enough gold to buy what I need from there.
I think you should be allowed to replay all the levels you've completed. That's probably my only gripe with the game design right now. I feel like I have to play the easy levels then kill myself to make sure I can't finish them.
Great game a few bugs maybe? Hi, Great game! I got to Act 2 boss tower still clearing it. A few bugs/ recommendations: - Paladins starting armor: That should be 10 not 10%, I believe. - stun prevent monster's death throttle from going off (intentional?) - weapon and ammo charges when purchasing in the same transaction. - kobolds entrance animation really slows thing down when it's surrounded by tons of blocks. - random crashes at higher levels. Lost 1000+ gold when game crashed at 83+ towers. Had plenty of food. Not sure why. - better indication of effect of level up: ex. Level up HP gives tons but level up damage of 1. - where are additional armors? I've only have starting plus leather and I've pretty much clear Act 2. Great game, Thanks! - Avaclon
The crashing is getting too frequent sadly. Not sure what's causing it. Starvation? I was going for the starvation achievement but I was getting a crash 90% of the time when completing floors 7 or higher. I lost 100+ coins over that course. There's definitely something causing it as I got it to crash repeatedly (5 times) in 2 floors I was going through. Finally had to kill myself to end the glitch. Also, you lose everything that wasn't saved up until some certain point (rest area? starting gold before dungeon? I'm not sure), because no matter how far I got in the dungeon, once it crashed, I got my gold reset to a fixed amount. And then finally, when you beat the dungeon after the dungeon has crashed, it will only show your stats for the current run after the crash. So you could end up completing the entire dungeon and it will say "3 steps taken / 1 enemy defeated / 0 gold collected." The save feature doesn't actually seem to work correctly. For one, it's weird that you have to go back to the exact dungeon in order to restore your game so you won't know you have a save game state unless you try it again. You clearly have to remember to select the correct character and dungeon without any prompts. I feel like the save feature is also intertwined with the gold problem I mentioned above. This is a pretty big issue imo.
I just noticed I'm not unlocking any achievements in game center even though it says I'm logged in. Not a huge deal just kinda lame.
