Sorry about all the iPad issues but for those with an iPhone who are on the fence, the latest version has worked flawlessly on my 5S. I have even become comfortable enough with stability that I bought the golden ham.
Remember with the ham... if it doesn't seem to be constantly refilling then fully close the app. Just suspending it seems to mess up its timer. When you restart it will be back to 12 I felt guilty about playing all the dungeons for free in the last release so I bought some runes just to support the guy. So much good new stuff in this version... I'd like to rave about it but it doesn't feel right knowing its not working for retina people.
Go look it up manually on the App Store. You'll see the update ready then... It was like this for me too. Strange - poor dev can't catch a break on this one. But this new version is awesome... The unused spells now mean a lot, there are persistent artifacts to collect, the characters now upgrade past level 6, etc etc... Plus I found if you cancel the app in the middle of a dungeon (I was on level 40 of the second dungeon) you will then come back to the opening screen and can upgrade your character at this point (I'd made over 3k to spend) and then when you go back into the dungeon your progress is saved so you're at level 40 again with your higher stats. I'm probably dumb and its always been this way but I only found out because my kid closed down the game at level 40 ... noooooo! This game is getting a lot of persistent items for a simple " rogue like" ... Makes the first one (which I liked) seem like a basic monster-fest.
Is there a fifth dungeon? I got a key at level 50 of the fourth dungeon but see nothing else to access. The map does scroll up, as always, but nothing is interactive up there.
I believe there used to be a "coming soon" type placeholder sign up there, but with the problems he's had and all the berating here, I'm guessing he probably dropped the idea of expanding (for now, anyway). In other news, is anyone confirmed as having gotten the dragon since the wipe? [edit] Ha. Never mind on the dragon. Played right after posting and got him.
Right. Had to kill some red monster to get the dragon (in second dungeon). Hmmm..if no fifth dungeon I guess I'm about done! I got to 81 in the fourth and have all but a couple of the artifacts. Not much else to reach for...
I bet there would have already been a 5th dungeon if this iCloud mess hadn't happened... And considering the good new stuff in this version I'm sure he'll keep adding more content. I was in the same situation with the last update... Lvl 70 something in the fourth. That's why I think this title doesn't need iCloud as the fun might last longer if you had two different games happening...
Yes, this new fix deletes all, but at this point most important thing is the game finally is (hope) as it should have been from the start. So far no issues found.
Version 1.5 works fine for me, so I won't download this and probably loose all progress again, no thanks.
Wow yeah my progress got deleted too. Again. This is the last time. If this happens again, I'm done with the game.
Don't be dumb... you don't have to pay even a dime to enjoy everything the game has to offer. If you actually manage to run out of ham then you need a few more things to do in life ;-)
