Still hopefull for the success of this game too! Been sticking with it since its release - its so strangely addictive. @Pixeye - SPEAK TO US MAN! whats going on, where do we stand on getting this fixed? You are featured right now in one of the official apple store Advertisement bars under "Fantasy Games" With games like Battleheart Legacy! I want to see you succed so get this thing up and running while you are still on one of the front pages!!!
I can't but agree... this is getting to be a disaster. This is completely UNPLAYABLE due to a resolution bug (that should have been caught in testing) and we have silence from the developer who is posting here pretty often otherwise. Seems this is a QUICK fix, not something that should take a week to even hear from them about! Like others, I've loved the game, pressed on through all the missteps and bugs... and supported with $ the developer, but come -on! this is getting ridiculous. AND the solution is a simple check in from the dev... "hey guys.. working hard on fix.. up in a few days' or whatever it is. COMMUNICATION is what we need now... Pixeye, let us know what is going on with this, please. Dont participate regularly in a forum then go silent when an issue crops up and leave us hanging.
I did not have a single bug since the first launch day and have been playing all along, but I too have the white screen. An iCloud related bug?
dissappointing I'm very dissapppointed by the developer that in days he didn't say a single word about what's going on and what's coming now. I lost the golden ham and therefore 3 bucks but that's not the point: I want to play that unplayable game!
Icloud patch is coming. You can restore golden ham in game shop for free, like any perma items in any game.
Has anyone ever thought that maybe because the dev is so quiet, he's working on fixing your problems? Damn people, have a little faith in the guy, he's doing it all by himself and I imagine reading all the negativity about his game in this thread is not really putting a smile on his face and motivate him. Remember, this guy spent months making this, by himself. How would you guys feel if someone criticized your child? Cut the guy some slack.
Yeah I was impressed when he simply removed the app from the store and completely reworked it... now it's a far more interesting experience than the first Dungelot and I enjoyed that one also. If he can fix the iCloud mess, the white screen non-loading issue (which may be related) and the zooming resolution bug when you enter a dungeon then hopefully we'll be good to go... Sure it's disappointing for the players but I suspect he himself is the most upset about it.
He's probably focused on fixing it all right now. One thing about a one man show is that there isn't anyone to do PR so I am guessing for a passionate and dedicated designer it is probably making him wince pretzels in his guts, and it might be important for him to fix what he can, come up for air and check on, then go back to it. If he was responding to everything it would get distracting quickly. I think, again, for a one man show, his actions are understandable and we should bear that in mind. This is part of the package for indie developers. I think we all know that...for now, I think if you want to jump ship, whatever, but if for some reason these games by pixeye have kind have found a soft spot in you, that's for a reason and we should not forget that.
just lost some progress... - dungeon 2 is locked again, but my dragon pet is still here. - warrior skills are reset, but he is still level 6 (with 50 health, 0 armor, 8 mana) and the next skill costs 600 when the patch is released, will we get back our skills (or at least some points) or will we be able to reset the skillpoints? or do we have to restart from scratch? it's not a big deal, just want to know, so i can decide if i continue playing until patch is released. thanks!
He isn't fixing this stuff as a favor. Once he started selling a product, he is running a business selling a defective product. If he can't handle doing business, then maybe he shouldn't be selling these games. But for now, his PR services are severely lacking, his QA skills are abysmal, and his reputation as a game developer is falling quickly. He has a responsibility to put out a quality product if he's charging for it, he has a responsibility to ensure that it works, and he has a responsibility to communicate with those who are experiencing problems due to his faulty product. I see no reason to cut a business any slack if their poor decisions have caused me problems, and I see no reason to treat this any differently.
Early going but the game is working for my on iPhone 5s with iOS7.1 I have not tried the IAP yet. The game is much more fun than when it first launched. Maybe there should be an option to turn off iCloud saves and a more obvious save game option, keep coding and updating please. #
credits Please stop saying this is so impressive 'cause this is a one-man-show! A project with this much people involved is NOT a one-man-show! Do you really think pixeye is still working on this?! Come on. This was one week ago and a hotfix won't take that long for approval. Also since then he didn't answer anything here (don't get me wrong, I don't think he has to answer everything). More reasonable: He didn't post any update on the progress, which I think would be the best way to show that he still cares. So my guess: He doesn't care.
Everytime you asked him to put something in the game he basically did it. Waste money?? Last I checked the game was free and the only thing you really need is the golden ham. As far as I am concerned the only problem he had was rushing the fixes out so that we had them quick. He always listened to us and always tried to implement our suggestions. How much time and money did you really lose?? I am going to have to agree with the stuffy basement comment.
"Didn't he spend any time on quality testing before updating this game? I'm so mad!" "Where is the fix? It's been an entire week! I'm so mad!" Sigh.
Yeah I'm sure he went to the trouble of pulling the game from the store... rewriting the entire thing.... to now just abandon it completely. Good logic there. I'm as disappointed as anyone but jeez ... just play another free game in the meantime. It hurts him more than anyone so why pile on?
I enjoyed the game a lot before the update. After the update, my progress was erased multiple times. I downloaded and really tried hard to like Tales of the Adventure Company and use it as a surrogate Dungelot but I just couldn't get into it. I guess all I'm saying is please fix the game soon so I can obsess over getting carrots for my dragon.
