Soooo much better. 10 minutes in, I can tell it's a way more playable game. I feel more strategy now than the previous felt more like dumb luck. I do love the new additions and permanent upgrades for my character. It'll make me want to play more. I am disappointed you don't get to keep skills but it's a fine trade off for the other improvements. Great job!
I love the boosted rewards for clearing levels. It feels like a real choice whether to full clear or move on right away.
Oh my goodness here's a fun strategy that I found by accident: Spoiler Fighting the boss of the first dungeon, I was planning to use an item that damages all guys on screen so I figured why not open whatever I could. Well, after using it there was a goblin (chance of redirecting an attack) open with 1 hp and the boss. So I attacked the goblin and he redirected to the boss, killing the boss and dealing me 1 point of damage. Hilarious!
I'm pretty sure they were there in the last version. Since the game uses a grid it's not well suited to multiple aspect ratios.
So the items you find now, like the ore, etc, they permenantly raise attributes and stay from run to run??
Wow I love the clear floor bonuses just like the old game and then the lantern passive skill item is massively helpful
I believe they are used on the next run and then lost, though your stash can allow a small number of items to be recovered and used a second time.
Whoa just discovered the Spoiler DRAGON and Spoiler carrots ...was hugely surprised Spoiler since they weren't in the help page. Really feels like a treat!
I may have found a bug, I don't know. Spoiler On level 10 of second dungeon, first time there, the rune portal was not gated.
Yeay!! My meat I bought from the original game restored. Seems to play a lot better to me. So far I am happy.
That is the bonus. -- Actually I think I found a problem. Some of the skills enemies drop that go directly into your character don't have descriptions even when I hold down on them so I never know what they are. I hoped that they would be listed on the character status menu (when you tap your character) but they aren't shown. So I have no idea what I picked up. Edit: I guess those are the buffs that are the loot that you pick up. I suppose you can find out what they do after you die but sometimes not during the game. And there doesn't seem to be a way to see how much attack damage you do. That seems like a big issue since that dictates if you should attack a monster or not, if you can kill it. Right now I'm just guessing..
^ There is no attack. 1 hit kills ANY enemy unless they dodge. There "health" just determines how much dmg you take.
Read glossary carefully. I've spotted battle mechanics in glossary and tutorial both. It's very easy and straightforward. You always kill monster by tap EXCEPT situations where monster have armor or dodge your attack ( in that case he will lose 50% of his strength )
Dungelot 2 rules! I don't think that gets said enough around here so... Dungelot 2 rules! (there I said it again). Woooh! Dungelot 2!
So generally you one hit kill all enemies? So the only attack damage that matters is what the monsters have? Interesting. I'll keep that in mind! Also, do the skeletons revive themselves? I noticed this in the old version but it's never listed under its abilities.
