Still can't access the old version in my purchase list. That is different, cause I have been able to.
Noone will be able to download previous version as it's abandoned due tons of bugs and bad user experience. This is my decision that I've selected while sending new version to review.
I believe this was the right call as it shows a willingness to get it right. You had to put the past iteration behind you and move on. I am anxious to get Version 2 though... ETA???
Here's my quick feedback on the latest build: Pros - 1 tap hits are pretty cool, although it doesn't make as much sense as the old version. The option to either keep an item and use its passive ability or spend it for an immediate ability is pretty awesome and it works well. Loot stash and buffs for runs works great as well, although when I pick up loot I have no idea what I got, all I see is a graphic spinning fly into my avatar and then its a mystery until the current run is finished. I love the fact that when I reach my corpse I gain some benefit from it. Cons - Mana is a headache. You get overwhelmed by mana cost and usage so early in the game that it does get a bit frustrating. It's sad to see that spells don't work the same, as I don't get a spell slot, or upgradable spells, they are simply a 1 floor mana cost - which again, you'll soon start seeing tons of spell scrolls lying around as you would rather use mana for totems and live through a floor than spend it on scrolls, unless its a heal scroll. You might as well just remove everything but the heal scroll. I actually loved the original Dungelot 2's design aside from a couple of things that were broken - item durability, runes, and spell scroll swapping. Had durability been removed, or at least toned down to a point where it caught up with how often you found mats for repairs it would've worked fine. Also not being able to slide a scroll to a slot you wanted, and being forced to cycle through scrolls didn't work well so that could've been fixed. In both versions however, mana didn't work very well, less so in the latest build.
Start mana value can be upgraded now in hero menu. In released version you will get mage ( last hero ) - he is an expert in mana) and unlocks perks that may increase mana. We plan to add bonus for unused magic scrolls in next updates.
I apologize if you already covered this but how is the golden ham purchase going to be dealt with? Do I ask for a refund or is there some way to transfer to the new build? Thanks.
Hurry up Apple! I'm itching to play but trying not to get too far in the PC version. So far I've cleared the first dungeon and I'm trying to ignore it until it drops on the app store.
All non-consumable purchases ( which is golden ham ) can be restored any time FOR FREE. You can do it inside game ( via restore button or in less obvious way by trying to buy golden ham one more time. In this case apple will inform you that you have already bought ham and ask if you would like to restore it )
Great to hear! I'm excited. Will you be able to provide an official final updates (or changes) list? I'm sure people here would like to know what you've modified over the past months.
Sure, I plan to write huge info list of improvements , but it will take little time : ) I still need to tell info about android tests that will be soon : )
Pixeye, Do the testers have to delete the Testflight app before downloading the final version on the AppStore? Or will it overwrite our test versions?
As far as I know you can hold two versions but it may be better to erase testflight app as it won't be updated or used.
Nice cant wait to get more hours into this! It's gameplay like this that i like while travelling coz you dont need uninterrupted attention to play it. This'll be the perfect break from MHP2G
