As I checked only "broken items" lose level (which makes sense, they are weaker). Once you restore the them, the upgrade level is back with all stats adjusted. I've noticed this was misunderstood many times around here. Correct me if this is actually a bug and item level is not restored after repair.
Oh! Well, that fixes one of the biggest issues I had with the game, then. Thanks for clearing that up for me!
Okay I am finally at a game breaking point, I currently have 4 pieces of equipment and now two are broken due to me not having enough mats to repair and trying to save gold for upgrades. I thought after the bow breaking, I would just switch to the sword and carry on, hopefully finding stones to repair the bow, which didn't happen. Very next run, I ended 300 gold richer but with my sword now broken. Only option I see now is to unequip all items, and farm gold naked which makes the game painstakingly slow. A little unmotivated to continue at this point.
I think the RNG might be too severe with regard to how often equipment breaks and/or the drop rate on repair mats. I understand that upgrading equipment makes them more durable, but I have spent my last three runs on dungeon one trying to farm repair mats enough to have all of my best equipment available to attempt to clear the third boss in the second dungeon. On my last run, I found one metal bar and broke my buckler, making me -2 metal bars on the run. And it's not like it was a bad run. I made over 500 gold.
The 100% evasion for the mercenary while convenient, really kills the game for me. I've also noticed the energy doesn't deplete much. It holds tons of potential so I'm excited for it to get polished up properly.
Games amazing, I've purposely have not unlocked the bugged skill as well. There's a ton of potential beneath all the bugs as those above stated. Really happy to hear pix is working on this and adding some neat tweaks. Excited to start it up again when the update arrives
I'm still unsure about exactly why I'm unable to use my golden ham. In general, if an app has been pulled from the app store, will restore purchases work? If so, this is a bug. If not, it's how it works and that just sucks.
when an app is pulled from the store you can't restore any of the purchases you made inside the app if you ever delete it Thats why i always said i like more that the games comes with a proper price instead of using any kind of iap to unlock the complete experience
OK, thank you for clearing that up. So basically I should have bought the golden ham sooner. Oh well.
Apparently complaining on the internet helps, because my runs just stopped consuming ham. Hooray!!!!!
Sorry that I keep posting, but I have a question about the bugged merc skill. Does the bug happen if the skill is unlocked, or only if its being used? I ask because her third skill (low blow) sounds really useful, and I could just use that instead of the bugged skill. Anyone know the answer to this?
you need to unlock (purchase) and activate the elusive skill to have the 100% dodge chance otherwise it doesn't work The low blow imo is not that great as well unless you get lucky and find the sleep spell
I know the game is being reworked, but I am still enjoying it in the meantime and had a question. After not seeing any of the blue runes drop in game, suddenly like 4 in a row came in one game yesterday. So I was curious about what that blue portal thing was, and used one to see what it did, and it just made a swirly graphic in it, and that was it it seemed. Is that one of the bugs in the game? Or did it do something that I could not understand?
I think it works as a one-time shortcut. Next time you play this dungeon you will start from the floor when you activated the portal. @Pixeye can you give us a definite answer on wether progress will be kept or reset after the update?
I'm a big fan if Dungelot 1. I really liked this game until I hit a wall in the second dungeon and just had to grind for gold, about 10 trips just to get the gold and materials to repair all my broken equipment and give it an honest shot, at which point an unlucky run will end you quickly. The fun of the original Dungelot, for me, was improving a small amount each time. I had that feeling early on wih Dungelot 2, but eventually I realized this was hurt another IAP trap. I thought Dungelot had more soul than that, but I suppose I might do the same in their position. At least there aren't a lot of ads and it's free and fun for a while!
