Woah, what? The app was pulled AGAIN?! Can someone give me the cliff notes as to why this time? I have only played the game a handful of times and would have bought a one time unlock timer IAP for $6.99. The first Dungelot ruined my marriage and I was in a head on collision while playing it driving to work, and this sequel has blown my expectations out of the water so far.
Found another bug lol. This popped up after I got the first master key in the second dungeon and died. English game version What language is that anyway?
We can only assume because of the freezing issues and reports of people losing IAP runes due to those freezes among the major issues. Pixeye has also seem to express his displeasure with the bugs, lack of clear explanations of things in the game, UI complaints, balancing of the game as well as other issues that he has listed they are looking at addressing with in an update.
Nice to see the Devs are being proactive in this forum, and I think pulling the game was a good decision. Came on here to complain and say that I won't be playing this any further until it is properly updated, but it looks like they are aware of the issues and will actively deal with them. Aside from some weird difficulty issues, my main problem has been with stopping the game mid-dungeon and coming back. The first time I didn't realize we could do this, but the game gave me the option of starting where I left off. That's nice, but unfortunately I had just purchased a damage and health upgrade for a new game, and didn't get the 225 gold back. Tonight I had to pause a game with the mercenary that was going very well; damage up to 9 or 10, full health, good spells, etc. It didn't give me the option of continuing, and I had learned my lesson about wasting gold from before. The game resumed at the same spot with the same spells, but I was down to basic health and damage levels. Needless to say my previously amazing game was ended in a few turns. The feature I miss the most from Dungelot 1 was finding the body of the previous adventurer. This gave a huge boost, often at critical times, and fed into the strategy of the whole thing. I also feel like I could grind easily and know approximately how much gold I would earn from x amount of time. This version seems too random, and the cost of in-game events too high. It doesn't seem balanced yet.
I'm glad to see the devs are working in this as well. I am actually enjoying the game, but there are a lot of things that just don't feel right about it, not gonna go through it all again, you all know the issues by now. I just spent all day grinding to get 1500 gold to buy another skill slot, only to go buy it and realize I ALSO need 4 runes.... Of which I have one... I hope they fix it because I was completely prepared to buy this game or the IAP equivalent of a full unlock before this came out, but after playing it for a while, I have no desire to spend money on the golden ham cause I haven't even needed too so far and I'm not going to spend money on gold or rune packs. Good luck to the devs, I hope it works out better the second time!
Wouldn't it be shady if when the app returns all the reviews are gone and the Devs are give a clean slate? Oddly, I wouldn't be too shocked. Most of the reviews were a disappointment bordering on brutal. If it were my app, I would want to wipe the slate any way I could as well.
Pixeye I do think the mats to repair broken permanent equipment should be dropping more or just make it so the equipment doesnt need to be repaired as much?
If I understand correctly then ratings are wiped every single time there is an update. I'm sure devs would love to keep their ratings, but the App Store not let them. I expect your prediction to me 100% accurate then! but not for the reasons you think
Thanks for the recap, sounds like the Dev should have done a soft launch in Canada. I hope it all gets sorted out because I need another game to play while driving - my scores in Jetpack Joyride are terrible.
Looks like Russian. I also found a bug where when I would tap on a gate (after killing all monsters) It would give me a pop-up saying "New TextMesh"
That is true, it is because of this that updating an app is actually a bad thing in terms of making money a lot of times. An app that has hundreds or thousands of good reviews looses all of them after the update which translates into less people buying/downloading the app. Some developer once mentioned it takes him about a month after an update until the app is back to the preupdate success... Also @Pixeye If you're goong to revisit some aspects of the app anyway, here are my 2cents: Repairing weapons is too expensive in terms of ingots. My sword takes 6 ingots to repair, and it sometimes breaks 2 dungeons in a row. If i am lucky i get around 3 ingots a run, and basically after every dungeon something breaks. At first it was ok, but now i feel i cannot keep up with the cost... Maybe lower the repair cost of higher lvl equip or boost the durability.
Conversely, an app that has hundreds of negative comments in the first 48 hours better come up with a reason to pull it down in order to wipe the muck clean and try again. That's shady but if the new product is better and resolves a lot of the negative reviews, it shouldn't really matter.
It's really strange that the devs had so many issues with this game. SO many things have to be fixed. Which sucks really because I know that I, as many of you, have been really wanting and waiting for this game because we LOVED the first one.. Maybe the dev knew how much it was wanted and was under pressure to release for the people who were constantly asking "hey when's it gonna land in the App Store?!?" (If I had devs phone number if be calling daily sayin hey when's it coming out? Lol.now it sucks more because I'm waitin for an update now
Just to clear something when you update a app you don't lose any reviews you just need to open the reviews screen and press "all versions" and you see all of the old reviews, thing is iTunes is not going to show in first page old reviews mentioning bugs glitches etc when they may have been fixed in new versions This only affects if you open the app page on your browser that can only see like the 3 most recent review or something like that
Fireball actually works well with empower spell it also makes the fireball stronger and you can try to make your spell cd faster with mana potion or buying fireball spells. I agree that many of them hurts like hell. So uncover the spaces one by one and when you encounter a monster kill it first if it's feasible before you uncover a totem. The damage totem is a priority. The rest usually isn't much of a big deal. You must remember that some monsters doesn't hurt that much even with a few totems. But some monsters hurt too much with any totems. Basically if you're unlucky with the rng u might end up having to kill everything before getting the key but for me that rarely happens. I usually find the key midway without having to kill all and most keys lies with the weaker monsters.
Completely different experience for me, I reckon about 90% of the time the key is dropped by the last Monster or one of the final squares. It almost feels less than random it happens so often....
So to upgrade your damage permanently in the current run, you have to find those swords right? What differentiates those swords compared to the swords I get most of the time which are temporary damage boosts? -- Btw after playing the game a lot, personally I think healing is the best spell followed by the sheep spell. The sheep spell will reduce all normal enemies to nothingness. Though once the enemy has really high attack power, they will still keep some portion of that attack power. However I think the sheep is getting over looked because it basically lets me not worry about one enemy and I can kill him off whenever I want to. The sheep misses quite often too. Some of the other spells I think are almost useless like making the enemy miss.. that one just happens to work way too little.
I agree that the sheep spell is very useful and healing is always on my bar if/when it appears! I've been kickin butt with the mercenary lately. Spells: Healing (always) and then Fortification or Sheep. Equip currently: Sword/Knights Armor/Guardian Shield. (sword because I dodge a lot with the merc so the counter attack happens frequently) Skills: Elusive (helps with the dodging. ALOT it seems like...which is why I use Sword equip.) Luck skill. I'd like to be using it but it doesn't seem to work because its glitches or bugged. The dev is aware of this issue. So instead I've been using Low Blow until Luck is fixed. I just blew past the 2nd dungeons 3rd key keeper boss with barely even getting hit. Then I got past the 3rd dungeons first key keeper before finally dying around floor 15. This was without any preface buffs.
After playing for about 8 hours or so, the game does not start anymore. Logo doesnt appear, screen stays white. IPad 4, lots of space left, nothing changed after installing Dungelot2 Rebooted several times
I just noticed that my Mercenarys Evasion is at 5% when I'm checking from main screen, but when I enter a dungeon it's at 100% I'm not dodging EVERY attack....but literally at least 8 outta 10 attacks miss me.
