So I woke up this morning refreshed, decided okay I'll give Dungelot 2 another chance while having my coffee and I swear this game will do anything to not make you progress even if it means glitching so it freezes and forces you to reset the app, this way you lose any runes you already used, or gold you had made. I made amazing progress on my way to the 3rd key, I thought hey this might be it Dungelot is being nice to me this morning then this happens . . . Notice how close I am to the boss floor, this is when the game will consistently trigger into bend you over and kick you in the rear mode. That blue blob enemy is immune to all attacks, and you can not leave without finding the other monsters and hoping one has a key. So I make it out alive, now take a look at my location in the top right corner. I am currently on the boss floor, with excellent hp, spells, and a lot of cleared tiles, and guess what happens . . . of course the game freezes and I can't tap on any tiles or enemies to attack, really really convenient and a big waste of time. I also love that I can still tap on menu buttons, it is only the play field that is bugged. I call this the "Big Middle Finger Debuff".
Pixeye I just want to say I love your game! I will love it even more after the updates fix a few things. Last night I could of played xbox one or your game and I played your game so that should mean something!
Anyone successfully using the mage or merc? It seems to me the high healthpool + improved healing of the warrior is vastly superior to 5% evade and a bit more damage. Currently at 3rd dungeon 1 key found...
Game Impressions I've been enjoying playing this -- the only thing that strikes me is that there's not really much of a strategy element to it -- it feels like you're basically tapping dungeon spaces at random without much in the way of strategic decision-making. Of course there is still a little strategy, e.g. deciding if to attack a monster or open up a new square, decide which order to attack monsters in... but it just feels like a slightly weak element. That said, it is a nice game with great graphics and well worth checking out if precisely what you're looking for is a game with a dungeon/monster theme and light strategy.
I want this game to be amazing, but there's so much that frustrating about it. Random gripes ahoy. I got a sword on my first trip into the dungeon. I even figured out how to equip it. I've now made three more trips and it has broken...EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Durability mechanics are not fun. Also I have upgraded it twice and zero clue what has changed. Fun. Why can't I see what a scroll does while it is on the ground? Why can't I choose what slot to put it in? And most importantly, why must the spell shuffle because of the above reset the freaking spell timers? Ugh. What does the warriors healing ability do? Hearts still give me one point as far as I can tell. The healing spell doesn't heal more. Yes, I have it equipped, though you can't see that om the character stats while in the dungeon for some reason. Health totems cost too much to get rid of. Alternatively, let them only affect the next creature fight, so there's some strategic choice to it. If there isn't an item that let's you increase the number of turns between monster attacks, I'd like one (the found on the dungeon floor items). Damage boosts should last at least the whole floor, not one attack. Who cares? What the hell are the gates for that you unlock with runes? I think I've unlocked two of them, but no clue what they do.
He is saying you dont need runes to guarantee success. I havent used any runes to get all 3 pieces of my permanent equipment to lv 5. Its a sword, leather armor, and a shield so far.
This could be a fantastic game. Right now it's unbalanced, bugged and has IAP issues. Thus it's a frustrating experience. E.g. I found a rune earlier today and when I returned to the game later it was gone. Meh.
I am not having any problems I mean I dont know what you guys are talking about. I have found a bunch of runes while grinding away. The IAP dont bother me at all, matter of fact I bought the golden ham and I will buy the coin doubler when it comes out.
Seems some people are having trouble figuring out which levels the bosses are on. As far as I can tell they are every ten levels. So the first boss with the sword is in level 10. The second boss with the leather armor is on level 20. The third boss with the shield is on level 30. Pretty sure this is how it works. If anyone has noticed something different feel free to correct me.
After playing the game for a bit, I don't think the IAP is base enough for such scandal. However, I don't find the gameplay engaging at all. It's basically tap tiles and monsters till you die. Which you can avoid with money. There's no rogue like aspects at all and it's pretty boring tbh...
Alright I know how you guys are clearing dungeons now, there's a current bug that I won't reveal but if you have full stock of ham or have unlocked the ham IAP then you most likely know what I'm talking about. Without this bug which I found by accident, there's no way I would've cleared the 3rd master key floor. I now find farming the first dungeon for gold really easy! lol Take a look at my floors and look at my score and you might see something odd. No hacks involved, and no runes used. It's a definite glitch in the current build. I also had a question about the shield inventory item - is it thrown automatically, or how does the mechanic work? I don't see any way to use it in game.
Another bug i found, i think the mercenary's last skill, that nullifies damage from traps is broken, cause i died from stepping on a trap skull tile while that skill was equipped. Id be willing to bet its not the only broken one, but the rest are harder to check because they have a lot to do with item drop or triggered percentage chances.
I like that the pace is quicker than the first game. You can do damage as fast as you can tap the monster. The First game has a slight delay for each attack but in dungelot 2 I find myself furiously tapping the phone as fast as I can, at least until I need to slow down and be more strategic. This makes a huge difference in my overall enjoyment of the game
