Get it for $0.99 if you're too cheap to support quality games. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #7 awp69, Jan 11, 2013 Funny thing is I probably would have gotten it at launch if they didn't do the iOS 6 requirement. Don't care about the price reduction but hope it also brings in the lower iOS requirement so I can actually get it. Fuzzyaardvark Active Member Dec 24, 2011 43 0 0 UK #8 Fuzzyaardvark, Jan 11, 2013 I tried the lite version, but (on the iPad) the ads blocked the bottom part of the screen. I still loved what I had played and instantly bought it. I paid the original price, and do not regret it for a moment. Completely worth £1.49, and a steal at 69p. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 3 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #9 Exact-Psience, Jan 11, 2013 What bothers me about this sale is that i got it for the original price, when it wasnt even playable on my iOS5.1.1. I still havent played it at all since my purchase, and now it's on sale. It's not about the money but more on the feeling of being f***'d by trying to help a developer out. Sorry i had to say it. Im sure there will be an update with iOS5.x support, but i cant help feeling like that. Seems just like a wrong move. bramblett05 Well-Known Member Aug 29, 2012 5,682 0 0 #10 bramblett05, Jan 11, 2013 Thank you and totally agree. Also crashing isn't a excuse to put it on sale like I said then joe danger should have had a sale even though their fix happened( but they got a team so that kinda figures the speed) its a great game and should not have saves because that ruins the fun. undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,486 2 36 Houston, TX #11 undeadcow, Jan 11, 2013 Aside from that dramatics involving price and stability, the core gameplay is very satisfying. Eventually the crash bugs will be fixed. These developers deserve your $1.99 and even if you can't play it yet Dungelot is a steal at $0.99. The developer has confirmed iOS requirement will be lowered and crash bugs squashed. They have also already worked on content additions like hero mood effects, etc. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 3 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #12 Exact-Psience, Jan 11, 2013 Yeah im still very much looking forward to when i can play the game. drelbs Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2009 11,201 7 38 #13 drelbs, Jan 11, 2013 Hehe, updated "our daughter's" iPad to iOS6 so I could download this last night. I've got a handful of iOS6-only updates waiting for me, might finally update my iPhone this weekend... Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #14 Misguided, Jan 12, 2013 E-P he said in the other thread that he lowered the price because of the instability of the initial release. There have been some missteps here, but I believe they are trying. The new update seems to be much more stable (no crashes yet for me) and the game is a blast to play. This is so much more fun than the vast majority of junk out there. bramblett05 Well-Known Member Aug 29, 2012 5,682 0 0 #15 bramblett05, Jan 12, 2013 That "junk" isn't near as bad as this game is turning out to be the update screwed players Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #16 Misguided, Jan 12, 2013 And in the time people have spent moaning about it, they could have gone back and unlocked their characters again, like I did. Not a big deal, IMO. undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,486 2 36 Houston, TX #17 undeadcow, Jan 13, 2013 If anyone is on the fence they really should pick up Dungelot; it's the best iOS game I've played in a long time. I still think lowering the price because of the error on the first release is a BAD move for early consumers, but this is a game worthy of a GotY recognition. Jibba Well-Known Member Aug 18, 2009 2,886 0 0 #19 Jibba, Jan 13, 2013 Does the lite version have ads? Is that the only difference? I played the lite and didn't even notice ads. It was fun for the ten minutes I spent with it but I'm curious if the developer can keep it interesting deeper into the game. undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,486 2 36 Houston, TX #20 undeadcow, Jan 13, 2013 Last edited: Jan 13, 2013 I'm not 100% sure what all the differences between the lite and full versions is. Lite has ads but full does not. In the upcoming games section the developer suggested content differences and implied a level cap in the lite but I'm not sure if that's the case in release. If nothing else should you enjoy the game supporting the developer with a full purchase seems justifiable. I'm not sure how long replayability will hold up but I'm been playing a lot over the past 4 days and it hasn't gotten old. I feel like I've already got my money's worth.
