They don’t go easy on you, they may not do the optimum play all the time, but still not easy. I looked at the online lobby’s, it looks easy enough to get a game, either live or asynchronous. I'm a bit on the fence and slowly getting through the rulebook. If I can understand how to play from the rulebook (and maybe some play through videos)..I'll buy the app too. AltsKev likes this. Not disappointed as I think it integrates the story and characters very well, inspired by the more recent movie. It sure seems complicated at first, I went through the tutorial four times to learn how to play. A lot to learn, and I retained more each time until I had everything remembered. Once I knew what I was doing it suddenly became easy. And the tutorial is really good, the multiple playthroughs were enjoyable. Doubt I could have learned by reading the rulebook. Once everything clicks then Arrakis is your oyster. I can’t think of any other game that has so many choices of things to do each turn and overall strategies. Which house should I align with? Focus on diplomacy or battle? Should I recruit a Swordmaster early on? (my present opening strategy which gives an extra agent every turn). No way I can cover all that’s happening though. So, if you like the Dune theme, have plenty of time to get to grips with an abstract board game that has vast depth and replayability, I think this is one of the best digital adaptions. tops2, AltsKev and sebgo like this.
