There's a lot of luck involved when it comes to your player receiving the ball before bumping heads with another player, but you definitely get better at it. It's weird that I don't think I've ever seen a (sort of) turn-based take on football before, but it works here. There is an in-game premium currency which you can use to buy better teams, get better upgrades etc. but you can buy it with in-game gold. Anyway, worth a punt if you want something with a bit more team spirit and originality than the new Fifa. lucia han Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 255 6 18 Artist (Army Wars Defense, Infect Them All, The lo #4 lucia han, Nov 9, 2016 Thank you so much for your comment, it's a great boost to keep the updates and helps us make it more better. Jayg2015 Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2015 3,734 41 48 Male Player 1 Liberty city #11 Jayg2015, Nov 10, 2016 Ok just like I thought this game is so unique and not like I thought it would be. I almost hate every soccer game because it's the same old gameplay / model. This is not in that category. U don't have to run or get into place in a way. You pick a direction to kick the ball and strategize which way you want. Their are different balls , teams, tournaments, All in one career. You earn money to upgrade your teams stats and such and earn cubes . These cubes can be held over to another career to buy better teams or used to upgrade current. I cannot believe the depth of this game. For .99 I thought this game was going to be a shallow arcade soccer game but holy **** I was wrong. This is like a soccer pixel simulator with so much depth and fun gameplay that I recommend to everyone. Jayg2015 Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2015 3,734 41 48 Male Player 1 Liberty city #12 Jayg2015, Nov 11, 2016 Figured this would be 10 pages long by now . This isn't your ordinary soccer game people this is much better. Give it a try dan_thompson Well-Known Member Nov 3, 2016 50 0 0 #13 dan_thompson, Nov 13, 2016 Nice game! Fun to play and well worth the asking price. It plays exactly like club soccer minus the dull offside rule... job well done. While it doesn't affect my 5-star rating I feel like there has been some missed opportunities here for even better gameplay (unless I am missing something) - 1. Stats - I'm only halfway through the game but I feel like my upgrades don't do a lot... I put a lot into speed early on, yet at around 105 a team at say 65 speed will continually outrun me? Maybe its got something to do with the different position stats or how stamina effects a player's ability but for a team relying on speed I feel sloooow. Same goes for power... I up the power but have no control over the kick strength. Sometimes they belt it and sometimes they don't. Again, it's probably stamina related but I feel like I am not feeling the effects of my upgrades like I should. 2. Micro-manage - Continuing on from stats, it would be good to level up players individually. It would not only help personalize the experience but it would also help explain why a specific players sprint like beasts or kick like morons. It would also make use of all the cool sprite work - for example post-leveling you'll know that green mohawk will kick the length of the field but yellow fro will get somewhere faster. The team upgrades would keep things casual for those who just like to kick stuff by upping base values, but the added micro of leveling would add depth to the experience. 3. Abilities - Again, as a player customization option it would be nice if you could select an ability for each character upon leveling. You have so many great variables and mechanics from different ball types to weather that there is opportunity there to add a little more depth. One player could have a lead foot that still boots bowling balls perfectly; another could be quicker in the rain and another might have a chance to slide-steal the ball if within a certain distance of the ball holder. 4. The controls - I feel like the drag distance for the kick power is too short. I have 2 modes of striking the ball - piss weak or super hard and nothing in between. A longer drag distance would make for better power control in my opinion. Also I find myself still dragging the wrong way when kicking and having to cancel and drag the opposite direction and I don't know why... perhaps an inverse control option would be good. Also maybe it comes down to player position but I never know what kind of kick my player is going to put out, so maybe a tap option to actually choose whether its a strike or a lob would be good. I know this is an excessive list of pointless dream features but I can see a lot of mechanical depth in this game that is not being made use of by keeping the interface and player involvement so basic. Anyways my team, the Spoogers, would like to thank you regardless for a cool game and their cool, skin-colored uniforms... streakers represent lucia han Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 255 6 18 Artist (Army Wars Defense, Infect Them All, The lo #14 lucia han, Nov 15, 2016 Thank you so much for your comments! Yeah whether or not it comes about it doesn't matter, but I really think this game would benefit even from purchasable team abilities even if they were of a chaotic and unhelpful variety. It would just get the player more involved in your hidden mechanics and make for more fun with each season. % chance for flaming super kicks, super speed on concrete, midfielders that behave like strikers, super throw-ins, things like that. The more things that make this a little less like traditional soccer the better imo. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
