Not sure why you're equating what you've deemed as poor game physics--which I'm not going to bother to disagree on--with being dated. There's no basis for the comparison.
Icade core is the best, awesome size and portable. Check out this thread for alot of icade info. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=173262
What is this? The 1990's give us a proper 3D Duke and not this old fashioned side scrolling crap come on! I've got San Andreas and Deus Ex on this for Christ's sake come on!
The 'connection' is two games that could represent the best that porting to a touchscreen can showcase. The connection between Shadow Complex and this game is that they are both 2.5D games.
Whats wrong with it ? In the 90's it was non stop FPS games, they then released a side scroller in the early 00's which was well received. I love FPS games but i also love platform run n gun games like this. iOS has all types of games, new ports like San Andreas and some great classic ones like this. Dont know why you're so angry
I'm curious as to what you consider "proper 3D Duke". There's already an abysmal port of Duke Nukem 3D on iOS. Do you mean ports of Time to Kill, Zero Hour, Land of the Babes or DN: Forever? I mean, sure...Time to Kill or Zero Hour would be neat, but Christ, I hate myself for even remembering the latter two. Look, I consider myself to be one of the biggest Duke Nukem fans ever, and yeah...3D was an amazing game for its time, but who are we kidding? Other than 3D, the Duke Nukem series has been mostly complete and utter crap and doesn't need to be ported over to anything.
You can slide with the kick button reaching places that are otherwise unreachable. I'm having a total blast with this. I'm not a big platformer fan but i couldn't resist the Duke. Way more fun than i expected.
Play the hard mode and run out if munitions here and there, then you will definitely need the kick, at least i was in need. Also, you'll earn some munitions for a death by a kick.
Gameplay is great, pure classic, but how to save game? I managed to save it once but now that way doesent work anymore, game doesnt ask me do ieant to save anymore???
Hi, It saves just by pressing the home button when you leave. There's however a limitation, if you're in pause, sometimes it will not autosave. Just press home in the game, do not pause. This will be fixed in a couple of days when the new update comes out. Sorry for your trouble. Diogo
Version 1.0.9 is out Just a FYI: Version 1.0.9 is out today. It adds configuration options for the interface and solves a problem with auto-saves (among other minor stuff).
This is basically unplayable on the 3GS, it's sluggish, freezes almost every half second. Will this be addressed in the next update?
3GS isn't supported by Apple anymore much less any devs bro. Some stuff will work and a lot of things will not.
