Awesome. That gives me about a week then to finish Wolfenstein RPG so i have no distractions when i can finally enjoy Duke Nukem. Yeah! Quick question... is this version different from the original version i played back in my youth? I can't remember clearly but i don't recall being able to look up and down so much back then...so has the engine been updated?
yeah you can look up and down... it had flying pigs in hovercrafts... youd have to look up to shoot them. And its the same aside from some of the adult movie theatres and strippers being toned down.
But it is not the Atomic Edition! I liked the fourth episode and the additional weapons. Any chance we will get the Plutonium PAK later?
Guys...has it been pulled from the appstore!? Because it's no longer available in the german one... Or has the german sword of censorship hit the appstore again!?!!?!?!?? Edit: Sry just read some pages ago...damn it...wanted this game so bad...
Yes is has been removed. (War sowieso nen Wunder das es überhaupt veröffentlicht wurde da es ja eh schon immer indiziert war) I hope we can still get the update.
The update is pretty useless for me because I didn't get the game when it was released...does anybody know if there is a way to get it!?
You can open an iTunes account in the US store. You need an iTunes gift card for the US store to do this. I doubt we will get the update for the removed app in the German store. So we have to buy the game AGAIN in the US store to get the update. @George: Any chance that we could get a promo code for the US store when the update will be released?
Yeah I fu**in hate german censorship...-.- Just the same with Wolfenstein RPG... But where do I get a US iTunes gift card from!? =/
Between German censorship laws, calls to ban violent games worldwide, and the fact that Australia is working on their own "Great Firewall of China" I fear that censorship in all forms of media is sweeping the globe and is starting to creep into the US Big brother is becoming a reality. How many lights are there?
I even thought the controls in Wolf 3D were not that good. The dpad should be moveable and the starting point should be whereever your thumb lands on the screen.
The controls in Wolf 3D have got to be the best around for fps. Granted you don't look up/down or jump or stuff like that, but they're really smooth. I get what you're saying with the movable controls, but that hasn't hindered me a bit while playing. It's one of the few games of the genre that I play and basically never have to worry or think about the controls.
George I want to also thank you for taking care of this so fast..also , I know you will probably ignore this but..is there even a 30 percent chance that one day in the future I will be playing DNF?
The interesting thing about Duke Nukem is that you don't really have to look up and down here either. The game didn't really have a free look mode when it launched, and your weapons automatically aimed up and down. All you had to do was look left and right.
DNF is in trademark hell right now. If that ever gets resolved, a developer might just buy the rights to it. I wouldn't hold my breath, though - I'm guessing the likelihood is a lot less than 30 percent..
I wouldn't even be concerned with the trademark rights to DNF. I'm more concerned with development hell hahah. How long has it been?
