Yeah well it hasn't been easy;) I started out just exploring the game, figuring "well I probably won't get far" and before I knew it, I was honest to goodness "playing" the game. I understand though how one might want to wait to get the perfect duke experience.

Because the tassels are on boobies, and apple doesn't like boobies. I on the other hand love boobies, so apple and I have a conflict of interest.

Yeah they might as well remove the parental control option seeing that there won't be anything that requires it

That is the game crashing. I have not experienced it with duke, but it's a common problem across the boards. You need to free up some memory by using freememory or reboot your device.

So I have just played through the entire first episode which consists of 4 or 5 five levels. I haven't had any crashes and the only thing I did notice was a bit of slowdown when things get hectic. This isn't really a framerate drop so much as the game actually slows down.

I never saw anything get choppy.

Guys, the controls aren't great but the game is playable and it's still a lot of fun.

    That is a long day...

I feel like a sucker for buying it right away at the one day sale price. I note that the "ONE DAY SPECIAL LAUNCH SALE" has lasted quite a number of days already. Wouldn't it be deeply ironic if, after this protracted sale period is over, the price were to drop to 99 cents? Seriously, if a developer is having a 1-day sale, why not end it after 1 day?

While I agree, one possible explanation, is that the game was met with overwhelmingly negative reviews, critizing the controls to the point where the creator has stepped in to correct the problem. I can't imagine them charging more for the game until the controls have been adjusted.

Plus the price must be a sweet spot it's already up to #25 in the US store even with the 3/5 overall stars and the negative nancys talking about the controls ;)

Getting the final release candidate for the update in a short while and if that's ok, the guys at Machineworks will start the process of pushing the update through Apple.

The analog sticks work very well and should address all short term issues with controlling the game. We'll then begin working on a second update taking in feedback from users and some of our own polish notes.

Awesome! I bought the game knowing about the control issues. What led me to my purchase is your assurances of these issues being ironed out.

Also a question: Are you gonna fix the 1st Generation Ipod Touch Incompatiability? That would be amazing!

I hope that the germans who bought the game also get the update. It's just "indexed", not banned :(

I hope that once the update is out and all that have been complaining are happy(hopefully they are) that they update their reviews on the app store.

We should push for this. Although the game was released with less than satisfactory controls, I still think it's had more of a flogging than it deserved. Especially considering how fast George and his boys reacted to our needs.
