So...I got Oo and I dont know why I thought of Duet, have no idea how that conection was made, but I ended buying it -yeah, I never got it-, and have to agree with all the praise said here. A great example of the meaning of the word twitch. High and addictive difficulty based on skill so you can keep getting better and better at the right pace. Duet also sports great music that sets the mood and atmosphere right, along with nailed simple controls, and the splat left behind on some devious and brilliant level designs makes Duet Game a masterpiece and one of the best games I ever played on the genre. Kumobius delives yet again another gem to my iDevice.
Do you or anyone else have a list of what levels it's possible to do better than perfect on? besides transcendence and bargaining VI, please tell me where can you save extra touches? i've been working on finesse seriously for a few days and i'm at 489. if i perfect all the levels i haven't perfected yet, i will reach 465 (i've recorded how many touches off i am on each level). but awprince now has 460 on the leaderboard and someone has 455. i only have better than perfect on 3 levels. +1 touch on bargaining VI, +20 on transcendence I and +39 on transcendence II. i've beaten transcendence I 50 times and also restarted without beating it a bunch. i assume the top people grinded it out more. i would love to hear their transcendence scores. anyway please tell me if you know any other levels where better than a perfect score is possible to save touches.
Got this at Starbucks today, always thought it was a coop game on one device, but I was wrong. It's cool. I have five codes if anyone wants one.
Here's the last three I have. 7PRLP3M??RMR ??= Mortal Kombat initials ??WEXT3RPJY3 ??= A US state that begins with N ??NK79TW4TE6 ??= The 20th letter of the alphabet, twice
Duet Update 1.2.0 Rolling Out Now! Hey everybody! Duet has an update coming out today with a bunch of new challenge stages and some extra awesomeness. It's still rolling out as we speak so keep an eye out for it, it might not be available in your territory immediately. Firstly, we've added voice acting to the game's entire script. Tim Shiel, the composer of Duet, has worked with another local Australian producer and composer known as Jojo Petrina to produce a haunting voice over for every piece of dialogue in the game. It really adds a new level of polish and quality to the game that I hope you guys will enjoy listening to and playing through. We've also tweaked the difficulty of the game's final few stages and relocated the notoriously difficult "Transcendence" stages to the B-Side of the game. Along with Transcendence's relocation we've created a bunch of new hardcore challenge stages called Revolution, Quickening and Resilience. Revolution is made of pure spinning and twisting blocks. It's mind-bending. Quickening has the simplest block arrangements possible but the speed of these stages is just insane. Give it a try, each challenge gets a little bit faster. Resilience is the opposite of Quickening, these challenges are long and complex. They're designed to test your endurance... and possibly your patience? Of course, if for some bizarre reason you can't stand Jojo's voice (you heartless people!) you can disable the voice over in the settings. Enjoy guys!
I must be dreaming... Voice acting?! I can't image what that will be like. I saw what you posted in the clones thread. I hope you don't get screwed over like the devs who made threes and others. But I highly doubt any clone could even be a tiny fraction as good as your games.
hey, the new modes are fun. there seems to be a bug with quickening finesse though. i have a finesse score of 8, but there's 6 levels, i didn't do 4 of them with only 1 touch and 2 with 2 touches, which is what it would take to score 8 total touches over 6 levels. also i'm curious how the new levels work in terms of randomization. what makes them switch to a new layout? do all of them do that or only some? my resilience 3 seems to have stayed the same after i beat it, but my trans and quickening seem to randomize, wondering how it works.
Hey Curi, That's a really good question. It's a bit confusing but it's related to the fact we tweaked the final stages of Acceptance in the story mode. Basically "Acceptance 6" was proving to be an insanely hard stage for most people, so we moved Acceptance 6 to the B-Side and that's what Resilience 3 is. We did this for players who had already reached the finesse achievement on Acceptance 6 wouldn't feel cheated by having the stage replaced in the story mode. So if players reached the finesse achievement before the update on Acceptance 6, they should see the achievement on Resilience 3 now. And they can complete a whole new stage for finesse in Acceptance 6. Regarding all the other stages, they are randomised every time you replay them. If you die and replay they stay the same but as soon as you complete these stages or quit via the pause menu they will randomise again. Regarding the possible bug with quickening, we'll look into it!
i'm pretty sure the way it works is only quickening 1,2,3 count for finesse, 4,5,6 don't count. the competition for quickening finesse is quickly going to be who resets the most until they get levels you can beat in only 1 touch FYI. i already have 1 touch completions of quickening 5 and transcendence 1. and i have 2 touch completions of quickening 2, 3, 4, 6 already. i'm grinding to get quickening 1 from 3 touches to 2 right now, just trying to get a lucky layout. kinda silly but fun right now since i'm #1 on every finesse leaderboard EDIT: got the 2 touch quickening 1. only way to improve quickening now is hope for 1 touch layouts, i don't think i'll bother with that lol. i got a 3 touch revolution 2 already which i think is perfect. i'll go try to get a better revolution 3 layout, can save another touch or two there . i got an 8 touch completion, there's 12 pieces, should be possible in 6 touches with a perfect layout, maybe i'll be happy with 7 touch completion though.
I am super happy that this randomly became popular a few weeks ago, because now we're finally getting some awesome new content
First plague ins and now duet, Some great updates coming out recently.looking forward to hearing the voice acting. Off to check my updates now.
i play landscape on iPad mini. on iPad, portrait is usable, i did my first playthrough in portrait when i was new, but i like to have my thumbs out of the way. i've also played on my ipod a little. on ipod you want to play landscape for sure, it's really terrible trying to play portrait on ipod and have your thumbs block your view and your grip on the ipod in portrait is kinda unstable. (i have played a lot, i'm currently #1 on 3 duet leaderboards)
