Just finished the game. Absolutely incredible. That is all. With Castle of Illusion and DuckTales on my devices forever, all I can hope for is that Lion King and Aladdin (Genesis or SNES) get remastered one day.
Me too, finished on easy today. Not only, but the very last speedrun sequence took me ages. Then i gave it a short try on normal mode...oops, no checkpoints anymore after losing all lives. Starting from the beginning. No way for me with these very finicky direction controls on my little 5s. Don't get me wrong, i really enjoyed this great platformer, but honestly, for a $10 dollar game with no customizable/better control options (fyi, they are very responsive) being the Dev, i would shame myself into the ground. That's not a dedicated work from gamers for gamers, that's only made by some licensed people. Only my $0,02 cents. From the challenge and diversion of the platforming aspects, i definitely prefer Castle of Illusion, which i re-dl right after my fail in normal mode.
No MFi controller support in castle of illusion unfortunately. I just got a controller recently and this is one of the first games I checked it on. Hopefully it gets updated at some point. Goblin sword and paper monsters recut have MFi support though, just to throw that out there.
These have some of the best mfi controls that I've seen for a platformer. Also the voice acting and all of the cutscenes are awesome. This is definitely for any true DuckTales fan.
I struggled with the touch controls for castle unfortunately. Shame because leaving that aside it would have been ace. If it gets updated with mfi I'll definitely go back to it.
Once I switched to the fixed stick, I was good to go with Castle. Cannot wait to try DuckTales, with virtual controls and a controller.

Wow, this is just gorgeous. DuckTales looks and sounds as good as just about anything else out there, especially for anyone old enough to remember the original cartoons. True Disney production values. OK, the loading times are bit hefty, the story scenes are a bit too frequent and overlong, and it would be far more playable with an MFI controller, but this is still great. Well worth getting while it's on sale for 90% off!
